My name is Lucas and I live in Sheffield. Now I work full-time as a nurse at a hospital here. I am(interest) in art and history of the city. I enjoy (visit) art museums and historic places. As a young child, my dream was to work in  art museum.

To make the dream (come) true, I thought about doing some volunteer work at the Sheffield Museum. Last summer, I decided to go for it. I got the telephone number of the museum through the Internet. A few days later, the museum called (I) when I was preparing for the interview. On July 10, I started doing some two-hour shifts(轮班) (two) a week. I helped the Visitor Experience team welcome visitors and do some surveys.  November, I joined the "Talking Tables". There were some selected items (选定的物品). Visitors could touch them ask questions. My job is to look after these items.

During two (month) of volunteering at the museum, I felt trust and love. The volunteers there are very (friend). I will never forget the experience that helped me grow.

If you take a look at your closet（壁橱）, how many of the clothes in it do you actually need or use? Many people often buy clothes in a hurry but they may just wear them for a short time. What do you do with them? Each year, people throw away many clothes and most of people just put them into the rubbish bags. So why don't you give away the old clothes to the people in need? Here are some steps for you to do it.

◆Clean out your closet regularly. This makes it easier for you to find which clothes you want to give away.

◆Find the places that need the clothes. Look for their phone numbers and all the other information you need online.

◆You can also organize a party so that all of your friends can bring their old clothes. Then you will be able to help more people. 

◆Take the clothes to the places. And you can also do a lot of volunteer work there if you are interested.

Please remember sometimes the small things we do for others can be great. And we should do this more often to make the world a better place.

①You may have already seen them in some restaurants around the world: robots. They are about the size of a child. They can welcome people and lead them to their tables. They can give food and drinks to the guests, and bring dirty dishes back to the kitchen. Some have cat-like faces and even make noises when you touched their heads. But are robot waiters the future?

②Many people think robot waiters are the answer to worker shortage(短缺). In some places, there are not enough workers. And robots can be used instead of(代替) humans, so sales of robots have been growing in recent years. There are hundreds of them now moving through eating places all over the world.

③In Madison Heights, Michigan, Li Zhai was having trouble finding workers for his restaurant Noodle Topia in the summer of 2021. So, he bought a robot from Pudu Robotics. The robot was so successful that he bought two more. Now, one robot leads guests to their seats while another brings some food to tables. Zhai said he now needs three people to do the same work that five or six people used to do. And they save him money. "I spend around $15,000 on a robot, but $5,000 to $6,000 per month on a person,"he said.

④But others say robot waiters still have a long way to go before they can replace(取代) humans. They cannot take orders. And they cannot walk up steps to different areas or floors of a restaurant. Restaurants are pretty noisy places, so it's very hard to use technology in a useful and productive way, said Craig Le Clair from the advising company Forrester.

⑤Still, the use of robot waiters is growing. California-based Bear Robotics introduced its Servi-robots in 2021. The company expects to have 10,000 produced by the end of this year in 44 US states and overseas. In China, Shenzhen-based Pudu Robotics, which was set up in 2016, has made more than 56,000 robots. With the development in AI, it won't be long before they become part of our everyday life.

Once upon a time, there lived a great king. One day, he went out of his palace alone. The king had his reasons. His advisors always said something good to make him happy. This time, he wanted to talk with his people to get information directly（直接地）from them.

When it was getting dark, the king found that he lost his way. He looked around but couldn't see any people. Then he went to the top of a hill. Luckily, he saw a small house. He walked over there.

As the king got closer, he noticed an old woman cleaning up outside the house. She didn't know he was a king. She welcomed him by providing him with a plate of hot rice.

The king was very hungry, so he used his hands to get the hot food to eat. The hot food burnt his hand, so he dropped some rice on the floor. 

"Oh you seem very impatient like the king," the old woman said.

The king asked, "Why do you think the king is impatient?"

"The king had a big dream of taking over all his enemy's (敌人)forts（城堡）. He took over the larger forts but he didn't pay attention(注意) to the smaller ones."

"But wasn't it a good thing?" the king asked.

The woman said, "You got hurt because of your impatience. Similarly, the king's impatience caused many deaths. Instead, if the king first had taken over the smaller forts to make his army larger and stronger, it would be easier for him to take over the larger ones.

Hearing this, the king knew about his mistakes and learned the importance of patience.

Our City Games will be held from July 20th to 28^th, 2025. We need 2,000 volunteers. The jobs are open to people over 18 years old. Those who have experience of volunteering in sports events will be chosen first.

A father and his son went to a kite festival. When they 1 , there were many parents and their children playing in the park 2 . The son was happy when he saw the sky filled with colorful kites. He wanted to fly a kite, too. So they went to a kite shop and 3 a beautiful one.
