The Growth Project
Growing taller isn't magic; it's science. Your body has"growth plates" in the bones. To make them work well, you need four helpers: sleep, food, move and the sun!
The most important time for growing is when you sleep! A special"growth hormone (激素)" works best at night. I learned that for kids my age, 9—11 hours of sleep is perfect. I' ll try to sleep before 10 p. m. every night.
Food is like building materials. You need the right ones:
✔Calcium (钙) & Protein(蛋白质): They are super important! Milk, yogurt, eggs and beans make bones and muscles strong.
Vitamin D (维生素D) : It's the"key" that helps your body use calcium. You can find it in fish and egg yolks(蛋黄).
✔Vegetables & Fruit: They have vitamins that keep everything running well.
Exercise helps you, too. Jumping, running, swimming, and playing basketball stretch(伸展) your body and stimulate(刺激) the bones. Even simple stretches every morning can help. Sitting all day is the real enemy of growth.
This is the coolest part! Your skin can make Vitamin D when you get some morning sun. Just 15—20 minutes a day is enough. So, playing outside is not just fun; it's healthy! Remember to avoid (避开) the strong noon sun.
Good sleep, healthy food, regular exercise and some sunshine are the four best friends for growing taller. Be patient and let your body do its work!

Scientists say children need 120 minutes of activity each day. It doesn't mean non-stop running. You can add up small movements all day. Exercise helps your brain work better makes you stronger, happier and healthier. It also helps you sleep well and grow taller.
