A rich American goes to Paris and buys a picture from a French artist. The American thinks the picture is very fine because he pays a lot of money for it. However, when he comes to his hotel and wants to hang（悬挂） the picture up on the wall, he could not tell which is the top and which is the bottom of the picture. He turns the painting this way and that, but still cannot decide which is the top and which is the bottom.

So he thinks of a plan. He hangs the painting in the dining room and invites the painter of the picture to dinner. When the painter comes, the American says nothing to him about the picture. They go into the dinning room to have dinner. Then the painter begins to have his soup.

He looks at the picture several times. When he begins to eat his fish, he puts on his glasses and looks at the picture again. Before he begins to eat his fish, he gets up and walks over to the picture in order to look at it closely and clearly. At last, when he begins to drink his coffee, he finds that the picture is upside down.

"Why, my friend," he says," my picture is upside down." "Indeed! Why did it take you so long to find that out?" says the American. "You painted it, did you?"

As a student, we have different kinds of rules in our classroom. We should first understand these rules and then we can really follow them. For example, students cannot bring food into the classroom, because our classroom is a place for study, not eating. The food left may make our classroom dirty. Running is also not allowed (允许) in the classroom. It's quite dangerous because we may get hurt. So, please don't run in the classroom. We can't listen to music in the classroom, because we need a quiet place for study. Listening to music may disturb (打扰) others.
