Healthy eating doesn't just mean what you eat,but how you eat.Here is some advice on healthy eating.

Eat with others.It can help you to see others'healthy eating habits.If you usually eat with your parents,you will find that the food you eat is more delicious.

Listen to your body.Ask yourself if you are really hungry.Have a glass of water to see if you are thirsty,because sometimes you are just thirsty,you need no food.Stop eating before you feel full.

Eat breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.After you don't eat for the past ten hours,your body needs food to get you going.You will be smarter after eating breakfast.

Eat healthy snacks like fruit,yogurt or cheese.We all need snacks sometimes.In fact,it's a good idea to eat two healthy snacks between your three meals.But this doesn't mean that you can eat a bag of chips instead of a meal.

Don't eat dinner late.With our busy life, we always put off eating dinner until the last minute.Try to eat dinner at least 3 hours before you go to bed.This will give your body a chance to digest most other food before you rest for the next 8—10 hours.

Mrs.Green had a small garden behind her house,and in the spring she planted some vegetables in it.She was happy.She looked after them very carefully,and when the summer came,they looked very nice.She was proud of the vegetables.

One evening,Mrs.Green looked at her vegetables and said,"Tomorrow I am going to pick(摘)you,my son likes you very much."     But early the next morning,her son ran into the kitchen and cried,"Mum!Mum!Come quickly!Our neighbour's(邻居的)ducks are in the garden,and they are eating our vegetables!"

For most people,the word"fashion" means"clothes".But people may ask the question,"What clothes are in fashion?"Of course there are fashions in many things,not only in clothes.There are fashions in holidays,in restaurants,in films and books.There are even fashions in school subjects,jobs …and in languages.Nowadays middle school students are very interested in basketball.Most teenagers like watching Korean soap operas and wearing Korean clothes.

Fashion changes as time goes.An English house of 1750 was different from one of 1650.A fashionable man in 1780 looked very different from his grandson in 1860.Mobile phone is a fashion now,but maybe it will be out of fashion later on. Today fashions change very quickly.Newspapers, radios,telephones and televisions send information from one country to another in a few hours.New fashions mean that people will buy new things,so you see there is money in fashion.

Zhang Guimei was born in 1957 in Heilongjiang.She works in Yunnan now.In 2002,she built(创办)Lijiang Huaping Girl's Middle School (中学), it is a free ( 免 费 ) school for girls in the mountains.So many girls can study there.

Sometimes,the word"green"means good.

If you can grow plants well,we say you are a green thumb(拇指). It means you may have a magic way to make plants grow quickly and Green is also the word to say about one feeling (感情),jealousy.You are good at English,but your friend Jack is not.If Jack is always not happy with you,just because he can't be as good as you(和你一样好),then Jack may be green.

Bangkok(曼谷)is the capital of Thailand (泰国). It is very different from Guangzhou. It is hot all year round,so there are a lot of fruits.One of the most famous fruits is durian (榴莲). There are many rivers in the city,so the market on the water is very famous.You can buy flowers,vegetables,fruits and other things on the boats.

The best time to visit Thailand is from the end of March to the beginning of April, because it is the biggest festival in Thailand— the Water Festival.It is the beginning of their New Year.Before the festival,people clean their houses and cook nice food.During the festival,people sing,dance and throw water on each other.They think that water can clean away bad things and bring good luck. How interesting it is!

You probably have a favourite piece of music.

It makes you feel relaxed after a stressful day,or it cheers you up when you're feeling blue.Now an invention can suggest(推荐)different music to you according to the different feelings you may experience during the day.

The invention is Spark Care+.Sarah Park, a 14-year-old student from Florida,USA, created it.The invention(发明)won her the title of America's Top Young Scientist.

How does Spark Care+work?First,it asks the users a lot of questions about how they're feeling.Then it links(相关联)the answers to the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale(汉密尔顿 抑郁量表). It also reads the user's heart rate (心率)and blood pressure(血压). Finally,it picks music for the user.

It's not surprising that Sarah's invention is about music,as she is talented in music. She began playing the violin when she was 4 years old and gave a performance at Carnegie Hall at 10. But she decided to create Spark Care+because of her grandmother."She has mental(精神的)illness,but when she listens to my violin music,she wears a smile on her face," Sarah said.Sarah is working on improving her invention and coming up with an app on the smartphone.She wants to make sure everyone can use her invention,not just people who are good with technology."I really hope Spark Care+will help a lot of people around the world with their mental health,"Sarah said.

These days,many students like playing 3D games.Do you know what 3D games are like?In most 3D games,game players need to control a character(人物). The character can be a robot or a soldier(战士).Game players usually use the mouse to make the character move around in his own world.Game players can find things such as food and weapons (武器)to help them go on with the game.The character can go straight, sit down,turn left,turn right or pick up things in the game.Some 3D games have many levels (等级). The character needs to finish different goals (目标)for each level.Game players can play against their computers,and sometimes they can play with other players online.It's great fun to play 3D games.But playing for long is not good for our study.

It was Saturday.Chen Jie and her mother exchanged roles(交换角色). Chen Jie did her mother's work and her mother did Chen Jie's work.Chen Jie got up at six o'clock in the morning.She cooked breakfast.Her mother read books and did homework in the study. Chen Jie wanted to watch TV,but the house was in a mess (不整洁). So she cleaned every room in the house.Then she washed her clothes.At last,she sat on the sofa.She said to her mother,"Mum,I'm so tired.It's not easy to be a hard-working mum."Her mother said,"It's also not easy to be a hard-working student."They understood(理解)each other more than before.

In England,people often talk about the weather because you can see four seasons in one day.In the morning the weather is warm like spring.But then black clouds come and it rains heavily.The weather gets a little cold. Later in the afternoon,the sun comes out again. It's sunny and hot just like summer.

In England,you can have summer in winter or have winter in summer.So you can swim in winter.But sometimes you should wear warm clothes in summer.When you go to England, you may also see some English people usually have umbrellas with them. That's also because the weather in England really changes a lot!

B:They live in a small town near Nanjing.

They have a really nice house.I went there with Su Hai,Su Yang,Gao Shan, Lin Tao and Ben.They were very glad to see us.Lin Tao's grandpa showed us a lot of stamps from different countries.His grandma cooked us a nice lunch.We liked the food very much.

A:What did you do there?

B:In the morning,we cleaned their house.In the afternoon,we worked on their farm. Su Hai and Su Yang watered the trees and flowers.Lin Tao and Gao Shan picked apples.Ben and I planted some trees.We worked for about two hours.

A:Were you tired?

B:No!I like working on the farm.We had a really good time.

A:Great!I'd like to visit them,too.

Mrs.Wilson likes to ask his husband to go shopping with her on Sundays.Her husband pays for the things that she buys.Now they are in a shop."Look,Andy.Is the hat beautiful?" Mrs.Wilson asks her husband."All right. And how much is it?"he answers and gives money to the shop assistant.When Mrs.Wilson asks him about something good or bad,he often says,"All right.And how much is it?"At about 8 p.m.,Andy is tired and thirsty,and he wants to have a drink.Suddenly his wife sees the moon and says,"Look,Andy.Is the moon beautiful?""All right.And how much is it?"Andy answers quickly.

Mrs White is a music teacher.She is tall and beautiful.

Mrs White has many hobbies.She likes singing very much.She can sing both Chinese and English songs very well.She likes reading, too.We often see her in the bookshop.She also likes seeing films.She knows a lot about films. She often goes to cinema with her daughter. Mrs White is good at cooking.Sometimes she invites us to her home.She bakes(烘焙)yummy cakes for us.We all like her cakes.We love Mrs White.She is both a good teacher and a good cook.

Dear Ben,

I hope you're well.I'm spending summer holiday in Shanghai with my sister Jenny.We got here by train last Friday and took a taxi to our hotel.Then on Sunday we went to Nanjing Road,there were some food stores and some big shopping malls there.I bought some nice presents there.The next day we visited the Bund and took some photos there.On Tuesday morning we relaxed.Then we went to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower.The tower is very high.We went to the highest floor,and we saw the full view of the Huangpu River.Finally today I did some shopping and Jenny listened to a concert in the park.I came back to the hotel and read the newspaper.Then I wrote some postcards and sent some e-mails.I will send you some nice photos.Tomorrow we're going home by plane. It is a short holiday,but it is wonderful.
