Save the tigers!

During the past 70 years, the number of tigers has reduced(减少) from 100,000 to only about7,000! Three kinds of tigers disappeared(消失) in the world. They are the Bali tiger(巴里虎),Caspian tiger(里海虎) and Javan tiger(爪哇虎) have become extinct(灭绝的). What happened to these beautiful big cats?

In the 1990s, hunting tigers for fun was very popular. Now only a few people kill animals for fun. The main(主要的) reason why the cruel(残忍的) people kill tigers and sell their skins, bones and claws for money.

Tigers' homes are facing threatened(威胁), too. Tigers need water to drink and animals to hunt.But people are cutting down trees to grow crops and build factories.

Now, it's time for us to do something for tigers! Here's a list of what we can do:

⒈Stop killing tigers.

⒉Stop cutting down trees, plant more trees every year.

⒊Tell people about tigers and how they need our help.

⒋Build more wildlife reserves(野生动物保护区)

Meals in the UK

In the UK, breakfast is always a very big meal—— eggs, tomatoes, sausages (香肠), bacon(腌肉), toast(烤面包片), tea, coffee... They think breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

Lunch is a quick meal for many people. In cities, there are a lot sandwich shops. People can buy the kind of white bread and all kinds of salad and meat or fish for lunch. School children can have a hot meal at school, but many just take a sandwich, a drink and some fruit from home for lunch.

"Tea" means two things. It is a drink and a meal! People usually have afternoon tea with sandwiches, cakes and a cup of tea. They usually have evening meal early, between 6:00 and 8:00,and often all the family eat together.

The Englishmen like food from other countries, too. People often get take-away meals—— they buy the food outside and bring it home to eat.

Last winter holiday, I visited my friend Nancy. She lived on a farm near London. I went there 1 plane. Then I look a taxi to her home. Nancy's mother made some 2 food. I3 a lot. The next day, we visited Big Ben and the British Museum. Then we went 4 . Ihad a very wonderful holiday.

Jane: That's really cool. Can I have a look at your photo?

Sally:

Jane: Thank you. Oh, there are four people in the photo.

Sally: They are my uncle, my mum, my cousin and me. This little girl is my cousin.

Jane: She was pretty in the photo.

Sally: She was about five years old. Now she is a primary school student.

Jane:

Sally: She likes playing table tennis. She often plays it after school.

Jane: Good. I like playing table tennis, too..
