Yang Zhiyang is a 23-year-old boy from Baoji, Shaanxi Province. He has become an example for young people as he works full-time to take care of his mother, who has ALS (渐冻症). Yang's mother, Su Jing, got ALS in 2010 and she couldn't do normal things easily. Because Yang's father had to work for long hours to make money, Yang started to take care of his mother after finishing college in 2020.

Because of the disease, Yang's mother needs help with almost everything. She needs to be carried up and down the stairs. She also has difficulty speaking. She can still type on her mobile phone, but most of the time, she chooses to communicate with her son in another way.
