4、There are two kinds of people: those who like to pack up leftovers as soon as dinner is over, and those who let leftovers sit out for a few hours so they can cool down.
However, both leaving leftovers out for a long period of time and adding hot items to the fridge can cause problems.
Whether you should immediately put food in the fridge or let it sit out to cool depends on its temperature. Dangerous bacterial (细菌的) growth happens between 41 and 135 degrees F. Potentially harmful bacteria grows most rapidly at these temperatures.
Placing lots of hot food in the fridge can raise the temperature of the fridge into this danger zone. Fridge temperatures should always be set below 40 degrees F. This may help the food get out of the danger zone as fast as possible.
However, there's no harm in putting hot food directly into the fridge if you need to. If you are a forgetful person, or if you won't be around to store the food after it has cooled enough, go ahead and put it in the fridge. Your fridge can handle the heat and get the food cooled quickly.
Food should never stay out at room temperature for more than two hours. Leftovers can become breeding grounds (滋生地) for dangerous bacteria if they're left out too long and can make people sick.
"It is OK to leave the food cooling outside before you hit the two-hour mark," says Serena Poon, nutritionist of Le Cordon Bleu's Grand Diploma training program. "In fact, the sooner you can get your leftovers in the fridge, the better."

5、Thankfully, I found the courage to persevere in the face of adversity and succeeded. Otherwise. I could be a victim and feel sorry for myself for the rest of my life.
A doctor told me at a young age that I would likely never graduate from high school due to my severe hearing loss and my extremely slow speech development. I found the courage to work hard in school and be active in sports and other activities despite wearing hearing aids and living with a 70% hearing loss. By the time I was college-age, I started losing my night vision. I decided to go away to college 300 miles from home. I obtained my bachelor' s degree and graduated with honors. Even though I had terrible hearing loss and was beginning to lose my sight at night, I found the courage to begin a professional career.
After earning my MBA degree, I accepted a position with Kellogg in the Corporate Affairs Department. When I was working on my MBA degree, I found the courage to ask someone successful despite facing similar challenges to mentor(指导)me. He encouraged me to consider Kellogg as he knew the company was committed to diversity and inclusion(包容). I nervously started my new career, because my vision loss had progressed significantly in the past few years. I am thankful to have a mentor that encouraged me and I am thankful I found the courage to apply for a position with Kellogg.
While Kellogg fosters a supportive, encouraging environment, it still takes courage for me to require what I need to make sure I am successful in my career. I need courage to speak up and ask for suitable accommodations to do my job. I also have to ask for assistance navigating through unfamiliar areas. I have found that everyone at Kellogg is always more than willing to take my requests into account.

People have long been dreaming of living on Mars one day. But Mars doesn't have enough oxygen (氧气) for us to breathe! Luckily, some smart scientists from China worked with a robot called the "Machine Chemist" to find a way to make oxygen on Mars. Together, they found a catalyst (催化剂) that helps make oxygen faster with less energy.
As we know, Mars has a little bit of water, and scientists have found a way to use sunlight to get oxygen from the water. But here's the difficult part: They needed a catalyst to speed up the process, and bringing the catalyst from Earth to Mars would be expensive. That's why the "Machine Chemist", known as Xiao Lai, comes in.
Xiao Lai is smart and can learn, think, and do experiments. It has read over 50,000 scientific papers before it found the perfect method for the catalyst. Can you imagine how many combinations (组合) scientists had to try? More than 3.76 million! It would have taken humans thousands of years to test them all, but don't worry — Xiao Lai did the job in six weeks!
The scientists are excited about this breakthrough (重大进展) because it opens up new chances for exploring (探索) space. This discovery is a huge deal because it means we can make oxygen on Mars without bringing everything from Earth.
