This is the fourth year Glendale has used goats to clear hard-to-reach places. The goats can climb up steep (陡峭的) hillsides easily. It's cheaper and safer to choose goats than workers. How helpful these goats are!

Nong Jiagui is a teacher in a village in Yunnan province. In 1986,when Nong was 20 years old, he became the first teacher in a special village called" leprosy (麻风) village".

When Nong first arrived, he just wanted to run away. * But when he saw the eager(渴望的) eyes of the children who wanted to learn, he decided to stay.

In his first class, the parents stood far away after sending their children to school. They wanted to make the teacher feel comfortable.

Nong gave the village a new name, Luosongdi. In the ethnic Zhuang language, it means" peanuts", because peanuts are the main crop there. So when the students went to new schools, they could write down their families' addresses (地址), so that no one would associate (联系) them with leprosy.

After Nong came to the village, all the school-age children could go to school. And the village has become more open to the outside world. He said, "As long as one child in the village needs me, I will keep on teaching here."

Guo Lihua is a farmer from Heilongjiang. During the day, she does farm work in the fields. At night, she becomes a painter.

At Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Thailand, there is a special"star". It's Moo Deng, a pygmy hippo (侏儒河马). It was born 1 July 10.
