Today is Wednesday. In English class, Miss Wang teaches Class 3 Grade 3 about "English and Chinese" words. She shows many pictures on the blackboard, like dim sum, tofu, kung fu and chocolate.

First, Miss Wang asks, "What's ‘点心' in English?" Tom puts up his hand quickly and says, "It's dim sum!" Miss Wang smiles and says, "You're right! And dim sum comes from Chinese." Then she asks Lily, "What about ‘巧克力'? Where does it come from?" Lily thinks for a minute and says, "It comes from English, and we use the Chinese word ‘巧克力' for it."

After talking about the words, Miss Wang lets students play a game. She gives each pair a card with a word. One student says the Chinese, and the other says the English. Mike and Lucy are in a pair. Mike says, "太极！" Lucy answers, "Tai chi!" They get it right. Then Lucy says, "Hamburger!" Mike says, "汉堡包！" They laugh and have fun.

At the end of the class, Miss Wang says, "Let's share one word from your home." John says, "My mom buys litchi, and its English is litchi." Amy says, "We eat chow mein at home, and it's ‘炒面' in Chinese." Everyone is happy because they learn more new words.
