It's Sunday morning. The Smith family just finished breakfast, and the kitchen is a little messy. Mom says, "Let's clean up the kitchen together. Everyone can help!"

Dad says he will take out the rubbish because the bin is full. "I'll do that first," he says. Then he puts on his shoes and goes out.

Lisa, the daughter, wants to clear the table. She takes the plates, bowls and cups to the sink. "These need to be washed," she tells Mom. Mom smiles and says, "I'll wash the dishes after you clear the table. Then you can put them away, OK?" Lisa nods happily.

Tom, the son, is seven years old. He says, "I can sweep the floor! I'm good at it." Mom says, "Great! But wait until we finish cleaning the table. You can sweep after that." Tom waits patiently.

After Dad comes back, he sees Lisa putting away the dishes. "Well done, Lisa!" he says. Then Tom starts to sweep the floor. The broom moves quickly, and soon the floor is clean.

Mom cleans the table with a cloth. "Now the kitchen looks nice and tidy," she says. Everyone smiles. Working together makes the chores easy and fun!

Lily: Wow, the kitchen is really messy after our big lunch. Look at all the crumbs on the table and the dirty dishes in the sink! 

Tom: I don't like messy places either.

Lily: I'm not sure where to begin.

Tom: I think we should clear the table first. Let's put all the leftover food in containers and take the dirty plates to the sink. That way, the table will be empty.

Lily: OK, that makes sense. I'll collect the plates, and you can put the leftovers in the fridge. I'll use warm water and soap—my mom says that helps get the grease off.

Tom: Great! After the dishes are clean and put away, I'll get the broom from the corner. By the time we finish, the kitchen will look as good as new!

Lily: Perfect! Let's start—whoever finishes their part first can help the other.

I always kitchen chores at home. Every evening, my family and I work together to make the kitchen tidy, and it feels like a little game. , my brother and I start with clearing the table. We take away all the plates, bowls, and chopsticks, and carry them to the sink. It's interesting to see who can collect the most items without dropping anything! , my mom takes over—she washes the dishes carefully, singing a happy song while she works. The sound of water and her singing makes the kitchen feel warm. , when the dishes are dry, I  in the cupboard. I like arranging them neatly, like putting puzzle pieces in their right places. My dad has two jobs: he with a cloth, making sure there are no food stains left, and before going to bed. He says taking out the rubbish keeps our home fresh. Doing chores together makes us laugh a lot, and the kitchen looks sparkling clean in the end!
