As the years went by, my designs became more complicated. Making sculptures isn't actually enjoyable. I sometimes work for 16 hours a day without breaks, and it takes me up to three months to finish a sculpture. I have to hold my breath during the sculpting process.

One time, a fly landed on a Cinderella carriage sculpture I was working on. The fly's wings blew it away, and it was lost. I was heartbroken. Another time, I accidentally breathed in a microscopic Alice from Alice in Wonderland. Alice is now in the Wonderland forever. But it did give me the chance to make an even better one the second time around.

My sculptures have taken me to incredible places. In 2012, I met the queen, giving her a crown on the head of a pin. In 2013, I received my first Guinness World Record for creating the smallest sculpture by hand, a 24-carat gold motorbike that fitted inside a hair. In 2017, I beat my record with a sculpture of a human fetus (胎儿) that measured 0.078 mm by 0.053 mm.

I was diagnosed with autism (自闭症) as an adult. In school, my teachers had pointed me out as an example of failure; now, I see my autism as a gift. It's pushed me to be the best I can be. I hold workshops in schools for neurodiverse children, sharing my story and helping them create their own miniature figures.

The microscopic world has always been my happy place. I've tried to make bigger sculptures, but small is best for me. We need to appreciate the little things in life. Small things can also be mighty, too.

I stood in the restaurant kitchen, my eyes wide, arms hanging awkwardly, ready to work but unsure of what to do. "You will be trained first," my manager Aaron said, "and do remember to check every detail!" With these words, he walked away.

A workmate threw me a dish brush and said, "Let's get started." He introduced me to the basics of washing dishes and demonstrated the process. This was the beginning of my part-time job, a new stage where I was both eager to learn and anxious about the challenges ahead.

On a Friday night, Aaron swiftly entered the kitchen. "Who has just bused (收拾) the back right table?" he shouted, his voice sharp with urgency. My hands, slippery with bubbles from the bowl I was washing, nearly let it slip through my fingers. I wanted to say I was guilty, but Aaron's cold stare didn't promise a happy reward for the guy who admitted. Finally, a mix of fear and my own conscience pushed the response out of my mouth.

"I did, Aaron."

"What were you thinking? Get back out here and look at what you missed!" His words forced me forward. I grabbed a rag (抹布) and followed him out to table twenty-two. As we made our way through the restaurant, he said something about rags, but I didn't hear clearly with other conversations going on around us.

I quickly realized the true issue was the mess beneath the table. A nearly full cup of beer had tipped over, creating a small lake on the floor. It was a significant mistake on my part. "Take care of it!" Aaron tuned and stormed off to the front of the restaurant.

I dropped down to clean up the beer. That was when another problem occurred. I had brought only one rag. One already wet rag. It did nothing but increase the size of the lake. "More rags," I thought. Immediately, I rushed into the kitchen and hurriedly grabbed five dry rags, hoping Aaron wouldn't notice my brief absence.

In the morning we arrived at the playground in lines on time. Then you could hear our military coaches shout at the top of their voices"Stand at attention", "Stand at ease","Turn left","March","Run…", All the students were practicing carefully. Exhausted as we were, none of us asked to have a rest, none of us complained, none of us wanted to drop out. Under the blazing sun, despite high temperature and thirst, we stood still for an hour with sweat dripping down from our faces all the time. In the moonlight, we played games heartily, bursting into laughter now and then. On the grass, divided into two groups, we competed to sing encouraging military songs in high spirits one after another. At the meeting, hearing their moving speech, we felt regretful for wasting time before. At that time we realized we should have been grateful to our parents and teachers, with tears in our eyes. And we all made up our minds to study harder. On the afternoon of the last day, our principal sang high praise for our behaviour, and encouraged us to keep this persistent spirit in future.

Though this military training is a tough experience, we challenged ourselves and overcame those difficulties. We felt proud from the bottom of our hearts. There is no doubt that this military training has left a deep and durable impression on me, on all my classmates.

My daughter and I pushed the overloaded cart in the store. She reached up and took another toy, and without asking, threw it in the cart. "Is that for you?" I asked.

"No, it is for my friend," she answered. I was proud of her. Being an only child and an only grandchild, she could have been spoiled (宠坏), but instead she was caring and very giving, almost more than necessary.

On the drive home, my daughter was unusually quiet. Finally, she said, "Mommy, if Santa brings all the gifts, why are we buying them?" I quickly tried to think of an answer. Before I could say anything, she shouted, "I know why. We're Santa's helpers!" Yes, she took the words right out of my mouth. Yes, that's exactly what we are.

After a few days, she came home from school quite upset, explaining, "Mommy, there's a girl in my class who's very mean (吝啬) to me and my friends. She is Lucy. We talk to her anyway, and when we asked her what she was getting for Christmas, she started crying. She said she wasn't getting anything because her mother is always sick and her father doesn't have the money to pay for anything, not even food."

I calmed her down, knowing what she was thinking about.

One evening before Christmas vacation, my daughter began to wrap (包装) the gifts for her friends. I gave her a roll of wrapping paper, but she came back and asked for more. I thought it was strange, but I was busy then, only telling her to get whatever she needed.

On the last day of school, I had to leave for work extra early, so I asked my friend to pick up my daughter since she had quite a few gifts to take for the class Christmas party. I never actually saw what my daughter took to school.

On Christmas Eve, I went to wrap gifts, but all of them were missing. I looked high and low and couldn't find them.
