China has many fun traditional festivals. Let's learn about some important (重要的) ones!
Spring Festival is the most important festival in China. People often do lots of fun things. For example, they do dragon dances, set off fireworks, make jiaozi… Children are very happy on this day. They getred pockets from their grandparents and parents.
Lantern Festival comes after Spring Festival. It's on the 15th day of the first lunar month. People eat yuanxiao and hang colourful lanterns (灯笼) on the streets. Some are like animals. Some are like flowers. And many lanterns have small riddles on them.
Qingming Festival is also called Tomb Sweeping Day. People visit the tombs and clean them. They do this to remember their ancestors (祖先). They also go outside and have picnics in spring.
Dragon Boat Festival is on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. At the festival, people usually go back home and have a big dinner with their families. They make and eat zongzi. They also watch dragon boat races on that day.
These festivals are all full of fun and love. They make our life with family and friends happier!
