My Classmates' Keyboard Colouring Day
Last Friday, our English teacher asked us to have a "Keyboard Colouring Day". We were so excited because we could use our favourite coloured pencils. Before the activity, the teacher taught us how to spell five colours: red, yellow, green, blue and white. She also showed us the positions of letters on the keyboard.First, we worked in pairs. I was with my best friend Lily. We decided to colour the keyboard together. Lily's favourite colour is pink, but we only had the five colours the teacher taught. So she chose red. My favourite colour is blue, so I wanted to colour the letters B, L, U, E blue.Then we started to practice spelling. Lily asked me, "How do you spell ‘red'?" I answered, "It's R-E-D." Then I asked her, "Can you spell ‘blue'?" She said, "Yes! B-L-U-E." We helped each other and finished spelling all the colour words quickly.After that, we began to colour the keys. We coloured Q, R, T red. We coloured S, D, F green. We coloured Z, X, C blue. We also coloured some keys yellow and white. When we finished, our keyboard looked so beautiful. The teacher praised us for our good work. We felt very happy. We learned not only to spell colour words but also to work with friends.
