Tortoise and his friends live by the river. One morning, they want to cross the river. Elephant and Giraffe have long legs. They can wade. Monkey has strong arms and Tiger has strong legs. They can jump. Poor old Tortoise has  legs. He can't jump or wade. Elephant is very  and helpful. "You can climb onto my trunk and cross the river with me, " he says. "Or me, " says Giraffe. Monkey is very friendly. " with me, " he says. "Or me, " says Tiger. "Iam very big and strong. " But poor old Tortoise is scared. His body shakes. So the friends make a secret plan. Giraffe bends a  tree with his long neck. Elephant snaps(断裂) it with his strong trunk. Tiger pulls the tree to the river with his strong teeth. Monkey helps with his strong arms. "What's that?" asks Tortoise. 

"It's a bridge!" say his friends. "Who's it for?" asks shy old Tortoise. "Our5.  friend—YOU!"

The Yangge Robot: A Spring Festival Surprise

This Spring Festival in 2025 was special.

It had just been listed as a national intangible cultural heritage(非物质文化遗产) last year. For the first time ever, a robot danced Yangge at the CCTV Gala.

What surprised everyone most? The robot could learn! During the show, technicians (技术员)quickly updated(更新)its moves, and it showed new steps quickly. Kids in the front row waved, "It's like our playground Yangge dance!"

This wasn't just for fun. The robot showed how technology can help protect old traditions. As one teacher said, "It makes our culture lively for young people." When the show ended, everyone clapped hands for a long time.

Yangge is our traditional show and now it has a high-tech partner to keep it alive. What an unforgettable Spring Festival!
