Once there lived a wise man who was respected  by  everyone. His  son, however, was very lazy and did nothing all day and all  . The wise man was worried about his son's future. One day, he said to his son, "There was some treasure in a faraway place. I want you to find alone. I  have  drawn a map to guide you." Then he handed his son a bag. Inside the bag were clothes, some food, a little money and the map.

His son set out on his long journey the next day. After he reached home, he apologized to his father  he didn't find the treasure. "There wasn't any treasure in the very first place, my son," the father answered  a smile. "But I think you have found your life's true treasure."

Sam is a boy from Xi'an.He is a middle school student and his school life is very(interested).He goes to  school Monday to Friday.He has four lessons in the morning.The (one) lesson begins at 8:00.In the afternoon,he has English,music and some other (subject).Music is (he)favourite.

Another way is to take place of the car engine by something else.Engineers are working on some new cars.Many makers believe that it will take years to develop a practical model that pleases man.

But this change does not come (easy)—a large number of workers may find themselves without jobs if a car factory closes down.And the problem of air pollution would become (important)than that of unemployment.

The Lantern Festival is on the 15th day of the lst lunar month.It is usually in F or March.People 2ugo out and watch lanterns with their family. The Lantern Festival is celebrated every year in C.Lanterns of various shapes and sizes are hung in the streets.Many children walk along the s with lanterns in their hands. They look e .Guessing lantern riddles is also an important part of the festival.Every lantern has a piece of p with a riddle If people have the a  to the riddle,they can pull the paper down,and if they are right, they will get a little p.

Students in many countries are learning English.Some of these students are small c . O  are teenagers. Many are adults.Some learn at school,others by t .A  few  learn  English b  hearing the language over the radio,on TV or in films.One must work hard to l another language.

Why do all these people want to learn English?It is d to answer this question.Many boys and girls learn English at school because it is one of their s required for study.They study their own language,maths and English.Some people learn it b  it is useful for their work.Many people learn English f their higher studies,because at college or university,some of their books are in English.Other people learn English because they w  to read newspapers and magazines in English.

World Book Day falls on April 23rd every year.The UNESCO set it up to help people, especially teenagers,to e reading.It is also the day to rgreat writers. Many countries celebrate World Book Day.

Books,magazines, n and other reading materials help us know more about the outside world.Reading also helps us f the latest development of science and technology. Besides,reading gives us information about d  cultures. When  we  read,we may find we don't understand many things well.Then we use our brain to t  about them or do more reading to find out the answers.The more we read,the more we know. So it is necessary for us to s time reading every day.Books cannot change the world,but people can change the world through reading.

Tom is ten years old.He a polite boy.It was Sunday yesterday.Tom stayed at home with his sister and his mother. Tom TV in the living room and his sister read books in the study.Their mother washed their clothes in the bathroom. Just then,Tom's father came back home with a bag of(一袋)apples.Tom liked  very much and he wanted to eat them.His mother took two apples from the bag and asked," apple do you want, Tom?"Tom thought for a while(一会儿)and said,"The one,Mum.""Why don't you choose(为什么不选择)the bigger one?"asked his mother."Because I think I should give it to Mum,"Tom answered.His mother smiled(微笑).

Are teenagers always happy? Of course not.

Teenagers often have lots of problems and . Sometimes they have problems with the schoolwork and sometimes with their friends.How to deal with them?

I remember an example of a middle school girl, Nancy. She once her wallet and was afraid to tell her parents about it.So she walked to school every day. A week , she couldn't stand(忍受) it anymore because it was too far from home. She had to talk to her parents. They were really understanding and told her to be careful next time.

In fact, the thing is not to do anything. If you talk to someone, you can feel better. Problems are normal(正常的) in life. You should not away from them. Instead, you'd better share them with your parents or teachers, because they have more experience (经验).
