Weekends are for rest and fun, but people need to  a balance. On Saturdays, Luke does his homework. Then, he  his room and his clothes. He watches TV before dinner. On Sunday mornings, He has erhu lessons. On Sunday afternoons, he plays football with his friends in the park. This plan helps him everything well. Luke loves his weekends!

Do you get pocket money? It's easy to spend it all quickly, even on small things. So learning to manage it well is important. You need to know the difference between needs and wants.

What do you need?

Needs are things you must have. For example, you need food, but you don't need candy or chips every day. You need a schoolbag. But if your old one is still good, you don't need a new one.

What do you want?

Wants are things you would like to have, but you can live without（没有）them.Wants change as you grow up. Your little brother may want a new toy. But your uncle may want a phone or a car.

Mindful（有意识的）spending

Before you buy a thing, think carefully. Ask yourself: Do I need it now? Do I already have one? Is it too expensive? Maybe you can make a spending plan, such as waiting for a sale. This is mindful spending. It helps you use your pocket money wisely.

I want to buy a bike on my own by saving money. The bike is two hundred and seventeen yuan.Here is my money journal.

Long ago, people did not use money.They exchanged goods or services with each other. For example,they might give vegetables to get clothes. But sometimes it was difficult to get what they needed.

Later, people started to use different forms of money. First, they used shell money, cloth money, and even knife money! Then people made metal coins. But the coins were heavy to carry.So people began to use paper money.

Today, we still use paper money. We also have bankbooks and cards. We can even pay with our mobile phones. It is very quick and easy!

What do you think we will use to buy things in the future? You can write down your ideas or draw pictures to show them!

Many students can't finish their homework. That's because some play games or play sports after school and have no time to do it. Do you often ask where your time goes? Don't worry! Here are easy ways to plan time well.

Make a short To-Do list（清单）-Not a long list.Just write 2 or 3 small things,like "finish maths homework" or "tidy the room". Cross them out when you finish them. Then you can make good use of your time.

Do important thingsfirst. Spend time on important things first. For example, finish your homework before playing games or using your phone.

Takea break（休息）. Study for 60 minutes, then stand up or look outside for 10 minutes. This helps you study better later.

Students have many colourful weekend activities,and they are all great in different ways!

Many students are helpful at home. Ten of them help their parents clean the room. Five wash clothes, and another five get up early to make breakfast for their families.

Some students have interesting hobbies in their free time. Eight students enjoy drawing pictures at the weekend. Only two love playing the pipa, and four watch TV to relax. Eleven students like reading books best-they are really hard-working!

They all finish their homework first. They can 

balance work and play well. But there is a small 

problem: no student likes doing sports.Sports can make us healthy and strong. We should do more sports in our free time.

Exercise, eat well, and get enough sleep. Good habits make our bodies and minds strong and active.
