So, did they do all night? They ate snacks, enjoyed drinks, played games, took photos and even danced! At last, they "fell asleep" with a bedtime story.

The next morning, the children took back their stuffed toys. They also got many photos.They were very happy. They looked at the photos and looked for their own stuffed toys among(在······当中)  the toys. They wanted to see what they did at night.

What an interesting activity it was!

In Hangzhou, Ms Fang often has lunch at a community canteen (社区食堂). She can have one meat dish (菜肴),one vegetable dish and a bowl of rice for only 20 yuan each meal. It's really not 1 . The dishes taste like home-cooked. And the canteen is very clean.2 Ms Fang likes eating there very much.

In the race, waiters and waitresses took their trays (托盘).There were three things on them. They were a piece of French bread, a full glass of water and an empty coffee cup.

They should cross the finish line as quickly as they could. But they couldn't run, spill(洒出) or carry the tray with two hands at the same time.

Most people finished within 20 minutes. Pauline was the waiter winner. And the waitress winner was Samy. They each won a medal (奖牌) and a hotel ticket (票) for one night. * And also they each got two tickets to the Olympic opening ceremony (开幕式) this summer.

On Saturday morning, February 17th, 2024, Susie Clothier was taking photos by a lake. Then she saw a barn owl(仓码).* It was hanging (悬挂) on a fishing line in a big tree. It was about 18 meters above the ground. It couldn't move at all.

She was very worried. So she called the firemen at once.They got there soon. But their fire truck ladder (梯子) couldn't reach the bird. Luckily, the city just bought a boom lift(吊杆升降机). It could do that.

The firemen slowly went up near it in the boom lift. First, they put a blanket (毯子) over it.Then they took the fishing line away. The barn owl was saved, but it looked bad.

Soon, Susie Clothier brought it to the Ojai Raptor Center. The staff there looked after it carefully. It got well soon. On Saturday, March 9th, it flew into the sky again.

Madison Checketts is a girl from the USA. She often goes to her favorite beach with her family for a holiday. But she finds more and more plastic(塑料的) water bottles there.

" The beach is too dirty with these plastic water bottles. And many of them will finally go to the sea and stay in it. Sea animals like turtles may swallow (吞) them. They may get ill for this. I think I should do something about it, " Checketts says.

There was something special on the top of the Notre Dame Cathedral. It was a" rooster" weathervane (风向标).It always turned easily in the wind. * People could know where the wind was blowing from by it.

But in 2019, a big fire burned (烧毁) the tall building's top. And the" rooster" weathervane on it fell off. After the fire, people sent the old" rooster" to a museum in Paris.

Later, a great architect designed a new"rooster" weathervane. About five years later, a new golden" rooster" came back. It stood again on the top of the Notre Dame Cathedral. It looks like a phoenix(凤凰). In some stories, phoenixes are amazing. They can rise(复活) from fire. People wish the building could be the same.

A few days ago, an Australian primary school said goodbye to a special student. It is a little pig. Its name isPenelope. It only missed (错过) two days in term (学期) two.The  gave it an award (奖励) for its attendance (出勤).After it  school, it will move to a bigger farm.

Penelope was bornEaster (复活节) weekend. When it was two days old, it was brought to the school. It needed to drink milk a bottle every three hours. The students loved it very much  they saw it. They started to learn to take care of it.

One day, their house was on fire. There were people at home at that time. They are Zoey, the eldest daughter of the family, Chantal, a 1-year-old baby girl and their uncle.  the fire started, the uncle and Zoey quickly ran out,  they forgot Chantal.

At that time, the dog ran back to the  , because he knew Chantal was  there.The firemen didn't know what was going on. But they just hurried to  it. Thanks to the dog, they found the baby.
