Imagine a life without arms or legs! You can't hold anyone in your arms. You can't walk anywhere with your feet. How would you last a day like that? Would you 1 at yourself in the mirror like Nick Vujicic, the 29-year-old Australian?

Mr. Guo is a teacher from Xi'an. He asked his students to hand in their homework through a QR code(二维码). "We spent an hour or two in class learning how to generate (产生) the codes, and in the end everything gets easier" said Gao. "When students finish the homework, they keep it on WeChat. Then, each student makes his own QR code and gives it to me. So I can check their work everywhere using my computer or telephone."

The QR codes can be sent to Mr. Guo by email, QQ and WeChat. When Guo scans(扫描)his students' QR codes, their homework appears on his phone. He finds that their homework becomes more creative, with many pictures, music and even videos.

Guo's students like the new way and think it is interesting. "We are living in the information age. Many students like to work with computers, which makes learning more fun," said Tingting, a student of Guo's.

"The paper is not easy to keep, but the code is easy to keep and share," Guo said. "It is worth trying to use new technology in education. Education itself is a kind of creation. I don't want my students to fall behind the times."

However, some parents are worried. They are afraid that their children will spend too much time on computers and less time communicating with teachers. But in fact, it's unnecessary. Students still need to look up information in books and write it down when they do their homework. They only use the code when they hand in their homework, which doesn't take them too much time. Also for teachers, it allows them to check the Students' work at any time. And it's also an easy way to share homework with other students.

There was a terrible earthquake in my country. Many people were killed and many houses fell down. After the earthquake, the newspapers reported many stories about families who were in trouble. One Sunday, when I was reading a newspaper, a special picture touched me. It gave the clothing sizes of each family member. I thought this would be a good chance to teach my children to help those who were less lucky. Ten foreigners received China Reform Friendship Medals in December 18, 2018 for their outstanding contributions to our country reform and opening-up over the past 40 years. They are given the medals at a grand gathering in Beijing celebrating the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up.

People who regularly practice positive thinking tend to solve problems more effectively. They are less exposed to stress caused by external factors. They tend to believe in themselves and in what they do.

People who think positively demonstrate increased life spans, lower rates of depression and anxiety, better physical and psychological health, reduced risks of death from heart problems. Positive thinking also contributes to one's ability to deal with problems and hardships. For example, researchers have found that in the case of a crisis accompanied by strong emotions, such as a natural disaster, positive thinking can provide a sort of buffer (缓冲作用), against depression and anxiety. Resilient (适应性强的) people who think positively tend to treat every problem as a challenge, a chance for improvement of any kind, or as an opportunity for personal growth. Pessimists, on the contrary, tend to perceive problems as source of additional stress.

In conclusion, positive thinking is a powerful and effective tool for dealing with hard times and improving the quality of one's life. It doesn't have anything to do with ignorant optimism when an individual refuses to notice a problem.

Thinking in a positive, self-encouraging way brings about many benefits to one's physical and mental health.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony was held at Al Bayt stadium in Qatar on 20 November 2022. What arrested the world and fascinated the audience was the recitation of poems from the Holy Quran by 20-year-old reciter Ghanim AI Muftah, also a FIFA World Cup ambassador. 

Ghanim was born on May 5, 2002 with a rare condition known as Caudal Regression Syndrome, causing him to be born without the lower half of the body. However, rather than allowing the condition to spoil his life, he has learned to overcome obstacles with positivity and leadership, and this is what makes him an exceptional and inspiring character. 

He is currently pursuing his university degree, majoring in political sciences with a chief goal of becoming a diplomat (外交官). Despite his disability, Ghanim enjoys participating in extreme sports such as scuba diving, skateboarding and rock climbing. 

While Ghanim was growing up, he found it difficult to attend school initially because of teasing and bullying from his classmates. Nevertheless, his mom encouraged him to speak to these classmates, teach them about his condition and raise awareness for the community. Ghanim has gone further at embracing his condition, with his infectious smile, perfect self-confidence and humorous personality. He has become a social media sensation - with over three million followers across social platforms, showing to the world how life with a disability can be fulfilling and worthwhile

Ghanim has overcome all kinds of challenges in his life, yet there is still one issue Ghanim must continually deal with—extensive medical treatments and surgery. Despite these routine medical treatments, he sees past these days and knows that with faith, commitment and hard work he will be free to accomplish his ambitions. It is this typical take and stance of life that have earned him the love, respect, and admiration of millions of people across the globe.
