The Internet consisted of millions of pages of data is the big source of information in the world. The World Wide Web is a computer network that allows computer users to have an access to information from millions of websites. It was invented in 1991 by Tim Berners-Lee, he built his first computer while he was at university. He came up to the idea of the World Wide Web in 1989 while worked in Switzerland. Berners-Lee made possible for everyone to use the Internet. He designed the first "web browser", which allowed computer users to access document from other computers. The Internet had created thousands of millionaires. Besides,Berners-Lee is not one of them. He now only works as a lecturer in Boston.

JM: It's nice to see you,Xiao Li . And this is the first time I (visit) your hometown .I've seen quite a lot of China, but this is one of the (attract) places I've been to 

XL: Yes, everyone says so. I feel very  (fortune) living here . 

JM: You live in the northwest of Xiamen What's the climate like? 

XL: Pretty hot and wet in the summer,but it be quite cold in winter . 

JM: Oh, look at that huge apartment block!

XL: Yes, they've just completed . The rent for an apartment there is very high. 

JM: I believe you! This area's so modern!

XL: Yes, this is the business district. They've put a lot of high-rise buildings recently,  there are some great shopping malls. 

JM: Maybe I could buy a few presents there. 

XL: I'll take you there tomorrow. Now we are leaving the business district and  (approach) the harbour. We're entering the western district, the most interesting part of the city. 

JM: It seems lovely. Is that Gulangyu Island just across the water? 

XL: Yes,it is . It's a gorgeous island with some really interesting  (architect).

 JM: So they tell me. Do you think we could stop and walk around for while?

XL: Yes,we can park over there. 

As a general rule, all forms of activity lead to boredom when they are performed on a routine(常规) basis. As a matter of fact, we can see this 1 at work in people of all 2 .
