Most people are afraid of failure. The truth is that everyone, including all successful people, has ever failed time after time and will fail again. .

Learn from it

No matter how hard you try to avoid (避免，逃避) it, failure will happen. Having a "no fear" attitude towards failure does not mean you should expect to fail, but accept it when it happens.  Failure makes us rethink, reconsider, and find new ways and strategies to achieve our goals. Through failure, we will get to know ourselves better.

Stop fearing it

 You are supposed to push yourself to go to the limits. When you have a no-fear attitude and accept failure willingly, your determination can be made the best use of.

Let go of your self-worth

When your self-worth is in charge, you will not learn from the mistakes you have made, be open to other people's views or see the situations clearly.  We need to learn, evaluate, and listen to other people if we want to see what needs to change in order to succeed.

Improve your mood (情绪) and cheer up again

We all feel upset after having failed, which is natural, human, and unavoidable. But how we respond to our failures is what decides our road to success. One way of improving your mood is listing the things you are grateful for at the moment, which will strengthen your positive emotions. .

One of the ocean's noisiest creatures is smaller than you'd expect — snapping shrimp (鼓虾). They create a widespread background noise in the underwater environment, which helps them communicate, protect their homes and hunt for food. When enough shrimp snap (发出噼啪声) at once, the noise can be deafening.

Aran Mooney, a biologist at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, suggested that with increased ocean temperatures, snapping shrimp will snap more often and louder than before. This could raise the background noise of the global ocean. "They make a sound by closing a claw so fast. This makes a bubble (泡泡) and when that bubble bursts, it makes that snapping sound," said Mooney.

Mooney discovered a strong relationship between warmer waters and more frequent snapping shrimp sounds after experimenting with the shrimp in tanks in the lab and by listening to the shrimp in the ocean at various water temperatures. "As the temperature rises, the snap rate increases," he said. This makes sense because shrimp are essentially cold-blooded animals, meaning their body temperature and activity levels are largely controlled by their living environment. "We can actually show in the field that not only do snap rates increase, but the sound levels increase as well."

How the louder snapping shrimp would affect or benefit the surroundings remained to be seen. "We know that fish use sound to communicate," Mooney said. "If the environment gets noisy, it has the possibility to influence that communication. That's something we have to follow up on." There is also the possibility that the change of snapping shrimp affects machines humans use to discover mines, which could lead to unpleasant results.

Gym class was not considered important at the private school I attended from kindergarten to Grade 6 and the words "movement skill development" would have caused brows to wrinkle.

For Grades 7 and 8, I moved into the public school system. It was the early 1980s and we had to wear green gym shorts and white T-shirts with the school crest (校徽) on them. We had to climb ropes. We had to go for long runs in the valley beside the school and excuses were not allowed.

My mum, also somewhat of a "non-sporty mum", wrote me notes to get me out of this nightmare once a month. And when she didn't, I sometimes forged my own. One day I arrived for gym class with my note explaining why I could not participate. It was signed by my "mother". There were at least two classes of Grade 8 girls sitting on the side of the hill when I boldly (冒失地) presented my note. The PE teacher asked me why my mother's signature looked so messy. What I said next might be the finest example of just how stupid I was when I was 13: "It's messy because she signed it while she was driving."

My classmates giggled (咯咯笑) nervously. I thought maybe I had pushed things too far but wasn't prepared for what happened next at all. The teacher grabbed my ear and dragged me all the way up the millions of stairs, through the miles of hallways, and into the principal's office. That was where my memories from junior high gym class ended.

The next year I went to the first day of Grade 9 gym with a positive outlook, high hopes, and good intentions. But all I ended up developing was the habit of hiding in the girls ‘bathroom for the duration of the class.

When my counsellor (辅导员) called a meeting between me and the gym teacher later that year, I remember the teacher looking at me and saying, "I wouldn't know this girl was in my class if I hit her with my car."
