Ryan Finley is a sketch (素描) card artist for Topps and a visual arts instructor at Beck Center for the Arts in Lakewood, Ohio. Ryan and his 10-year-old daughter, Keira, recently showed their artistic talents at a Beck Center exhibition. The exhibition "Side by Side" includes the pair's artistic interpretations (诠释) of the same characters and scenes.
I first met the Finleys when I was a student in Ryan's cartooning class. Keira, now a fourth grader, has been creating art since she was a young child. "She was always next to me, lying on the ground drawing," Ryan recalled.
Keira's love for art continued, and she became a student in Ryan's class at Beck. The best part of "Side by Side" was having friends and classmates come to see the exhibit, Keira said. "I loved walking around with my dad and talking to everybody."
Keira told local news media that she'd love art even if her dad had a different career. "If my dad wasn't an artist," she said, "I'd still probably be doing this."
Ryan's interest in art also began in childhood. "I'd always be drawing when I wasn't supposed to be," he told me. "I'd get notes all the time saying, ‘You need to focus more on your study.'"
That passion never left him. "In high school, I took every art class you could possibly take," he said. Before becoming a Star Wars sketch artist for Topps, Ryan had other jobs, including working as a street artist. When asked what he liked best about his job, Ryan didn't hesitate. "Surely the art show I just had with Keira," he said. "It's hard to even put into words. It's pretty touching."
Ryan also loves working with his students. "I do my best to make sure that they're having fun with what they're doing," he said. "My favorite part is seeing the growth of my students."

When British musician Paul Barton performs in central Thailand lately, his energetic listeners react wildly. Some pull his hair or jump on his piano. Others steal his music.
The behavior is normal, however, because these crowds are truly wild— wild monkeys to be exact. Barton plays often to the animals in Lopburi, an area known for its populations of wild macaque monkeys. The pianist hopes the music shows bring calm to the animals during the coronavirus crisis.
The disease has caused problems for the monkeys, too. They are hungry. The restrictions on tourism mean fewer people come to see the monkeys and feed them.
"We need to make an effort to make sure that they eat properly. And when they eat properly they will be calmer and will not be aggressive," said Barton, 59, a long-time Thailand resident.
Barton has played at four sites in Lopburi, including at an ancient Hindu temple, a store and an old movie theater.
The macaques quickly surround Barton when he plays Greensleeves, Beethoven's Für Elise and Michael Nyman's Diary of Love. Some of the creatures sit on his chair, while others climb up his body and touch his head.
"A wonderful opportunity to see the wild animals just being themselves," said Barton, from Yorkshire in northern England.
But, Barton keeps his attention on his performance, even as a small monkey runs over his hands on the instrument. Other monkeys take control of his music papers.
"I was surprised to play the piano and find that they were actually eating the music as I was playing it." But, he added, "I wasn't going to let those things distract from the project which is to play the music for these wonderful macaques."
The monkeys are Barton's latest animal fans. Past wildlife audiences included elephants living in special protected areas.
Barton hopes to raise awareness of the monkeys' hunger. At the same time, he hopes to study their behavior as they react to classical music.

D、To draw people's attention to their hunger.(2)、Which is the macaque monkeys' reaction to Paul Barton's performance?A、Listening carefully to his perfect performance. Known as Semuc Champey, the series of spectacular steeped limestone pools bridging over the river are accessed via a hiking trail near the village of Lanquin.
Local hostels also offer candlelight tours of a cave system carved out by the water and year-round grade Ⅲ and IV rafting.

Boasting superb wildlife watching, some of the best white-water rafting on the planet and the thundering beauty of Victoria Falls, the Zambezi is a showstopper.
In the Middle Zambezi, which borders Zambia and Zimbabwe, you can bungee jump off Africa's largest waterfall, or tackle the grade IV rapids just below.
Most wildlife —from hippo pods to big cats and sly Nile crocodiles —is spotted on jeep safaris and kayaking trips around the Lower Zambezi, where the swampy delta funnels down through Mozambique into the Indian Ocean.
1. Amazon River (South America)
Scenic beauty: 5 | Nature and wildlife: 5 | Culture: 4 | Adventure: 5 | Activity options: 5
