Today，Hangzhou is a big city.There are a lot of tall buildings.Many people live there.There is a lot of traffic on the road.There are a lot of tourists visiting Hangzhou.Some of them are from other countries.They like to visit the West Lake and they like Longjing Tea.They think Hangzhou is very beautiful and the people of Hangzhou are really nice.

   A shopping centre is a group of shops.Thousands of people go to shopping centres every day.There are shopping centres all over the world.

   Some shopping centres are as big as small towns.There are many kinds of shops in a shopping centre.There are shops that sell flowers，toys and books.A shopping centre also has lots of places to eat.Shoppers can have a drink or a snack.Some shoppers stop for a big meal.

   There is always a ground floor plan in the shopping centre.This plan is like a map of the shopping centre.The plan shows people which shops are on each floor.Some shopping centres have a skating rink(旱冰场).Some shopping centres even have their own amusement parks for shoppers to ride on.

   Xiamen is a beautiful city.There are many special buildings.

Place 1：It looks like a house with big windows and a red roof(屋顶).There are many old pianos.It's a____where people can see and listen to old pianos.You can learn about music history here.

   Place 2：It looks like a big wave(海浪).It's a place for big meetings.People from different cities or countries come here to talk or work.

Place 3：It's an old temple(庙宇).The buildings are red and golden(金色的)，with big doors and stone lions.Many visitors come to see its beautiful gardens.

   Place 4：It's a tall，white building with clean lines.It has lots of windows to let sunlight in.It's a hospital for people's eyes.

These buildings make Xiamen special — some are historic buildings，and others are modern buildings.Each one has a job to make the city nice and helpful for people！
