Hello, everyone. I'm Oscar. Let me tell you something about my school life. I like my English teacher, Miss White. She is kind and always tells us interesting stories in class. Many students in our class like her too. But she often asks us to finish (完成) our homework at school. I can't finish it on time. Then she often calls my mother and tells her about it. So my mother is not happy with me. I don't like maths. I think it's too difficult. I am not good with numbers. I often can't answer the questions in books. And I always make mistakes in class. I am afraid of having maths classes. History is boring and my history teacher is an old man. He can't make his class interesting and many students in our class don't like him. I like music because my music teacher is funny. I also like art. It is interesting. But I only have art classes on Wednesday afternoons. I like painting pictures. But my mother doesn't want me to paint pictures. She wants me to study English and maths better.

Shenzhen is the first city in the country to have a PE class every day. At Buxin School, they have a "3+1+1" model (模式). There are three usual PE classes, one music sports class, and one sports game class. There are five PE classes from Monday to Friday.

At first, the school has a problem. There aren't so many PE teachers. Then the school has to ask teachers from other subjects to teach the PE class. Liu Xunhua is a Chinese teacher at the school. He teaches students to jump ropes. "Everything is good for the health of the students." says Liu.

I am Paul. I am a 13-year-old boy. I am from the UK, but now I live with my parents in Beijing. I am a student in Grade Seven. I live in the school for five days every week this term. On Saturday morning, I go back home.

Every Monday morning, my father drives (开车送) me to school. On the way, he always tells me to study hard at school.

I study different subjects at school. I don't like IT. ____ Because I can't learn it well. I think it is a little difficult for me. But I like history best. China is a great country with a long history and I want to learn about its past. Miss Li teaches us history in easy and fun ways. She often tells us some historical (历史的) stories in class. Sometimes she lets us watch films or draw pictures to help us study history well. Her history classes are always interesting.

In our school, all students have their favourite subjects. But students in different grades like different subjects. 

In Grade Seven, students' favourite subject is always Chinese, because it's their mother tongue and it's easy for them. And most of them don't like English. They think English is very difficult, because it's different from Chinese. And they like PE and music, too. Students at this age like playing sports. They can play soccer and basketball in PE classes. Why is music welcome? Most of them think music is relaxing. 

In Grade Eight, some students like maths very much. But they aren't very good at maths, because maths in Grade Eight is a little difficult. They need to do exercises for a long time. Students in Grade Eight also like science and geography. They can learn a lot from science. And they also say they seem (似乎) to go around China in geography classes. 

In Grade Nine, English is some students' favourite subject. It's useful. Students often talk with friends in English after school. They even watch English programs on TV to learn more.

My name is Mia, and I'm a student in Grade 7. Among all the subjects at school, art is my favourite. 

We have a great art teacher named Mrs. Evans. She's a wonderful artist with a shelf full of her own paintings. We love watching her paint. 

We often draw or paint in Mrs. Evans's class.  It's interesting because those works give me new ideas. Last time, I tried to paint water lilies just like Monet, and it turned out well!

 Our works will be in the school's art gallery. Our parents and classmates will come to visit it. I am working on three paintings now—a cat, a park, and a sunset. And I hope I can show one of them in the show.

I'm Han Lin and I'm a student in Grade 7 from Datong. I'm happy to tell you that our school  a new music class this term. In the music room, there  different Chinese instruments like the erhu, pipa, guzheng, and dizi. In class, we learn how to play them. Everyone  the class.

All teachers' lessons are . They show us how to play these instruments, and we also learn about those  behind them. I like all the instruments, but  favourite is the guzheng. It's not easy  the guzheng, but I work hard. I think I  play it well one day.

In our music class, sometimes, we play easy songs as a band. Sometimes, we sing songs together. Singing songs together is  funny, and it often makes us laugh.

I enjoy this class very much. It makes our school  interesting. I think schools should have more classes like this.
