My Happy Summer Vacation

Last summer, I went to Qingdao with my parents. Qingdao is a beautiful coastal city in Shandong Province. We took a train there and it took us about 6 hours.

When we arrived, we first checked into a hotel near the beach. The next day, we went to the beach. The sea was blue and the sand was soft. I swam in the sea and played beach volleyball with my parents. We also tried some delicious seafood, like prawns and crabs.

On the third day, we visited Qingdao Polar Ocean World. We saw many kinds of sea animals, such as penguins, dolphins and sharks. The dolphin show was really exciting. We took a lot of photos there.

On the last day, we went shopping and bought some souvenirs for our friends. We had a wonderful time in Qingdao and I hope to go there again.

Hi, I'm Lucy. Let me tell you about my last winter vacation. I didn't go anywhere far because my grandma was ill. I stayed at home and looked after her every day. I helped her wash clothes, cook meals and take medicine. Sometimes I read stories to her to make her happy.

My cousin, Mike, went to Harbin with his family. He said Harbin was very cold but beautiful. He went skating on the ice and visited the Ice and Snow World. He took lots of photos and bought some special gifts for me. I was happy to get his gifts.

My best friend, Emma, went to Australia for vacation. It was summer there. She went to the beach and swam in the sea. She also visited Sydney Opera House. She said she had a great time.

Now I'm a middle school student. My parents have more time to take me on trips. Last summer, we went to Xi'an. We visited the Terracotta Army, the City Wall and many ancient temples. I learned a lot about Chinese history. This summer, we plan to go to Zhangjiajie to see the beautiful mountains.

I love traveling now. It not only makes me happy but also opens my eyes. I hope to visit more places in the future.
