Leo is going to visit Xi' an this winter holiday. He wants to visit the Terracotta Warriors(兵马俑). Here is an air ticket(票) for Leo from Shenzhen to Xi'an.

In 1834, the clock tower in London was burned down. People planned to build a new clock tower.They wanted to build the biggest (最大的) and the best clock in the world. So the clock had to be big and keep very good time. Some years later, they built the tower and put the big clock in the tower, and made it ring out(响起) for the first time on 11th July, 1859.

To give the big clock a good name, people had a meeting. Someone wanted to call it"the Queen of Bells", and someone thought"Victoria" was good. At last, a man named Benjamin Hall stood up. He was a big man. Before he started to speak(发言), someone said, "Why not call it Big Ben?" Everyone laughed and agreed(同意) with him.

From then on, Big Ben became its name. And it also became a famous building of London. People all over the world visit Big Ben every year. Big Ben is not only a clock but also a dear friend of people.

Kangaroos (袋鼠) live in Australia. There are about fifty-five different kinds of kangaroos in Australia. They can't run and they can't walk. But they can jump very fast. They can travel at about 50 kilometres (千米) an hour.Kangaroos have very long strong back legs. They use their back legs to jump. Kangaroos' front legs are much shorter(更短的), and are like arms. Kangaroos' heads are quite small, but their ears are very big. They are very strong, but they only eat fruit, leaves and grass.

Baby kangaroos are very small and only about 3 cm long. They can't jump and they can't see. A young kangaroo is always in its mother's pouch. They can see when they are nine weeks old. They can jump when they are about six months old. Then they can leave (离开) their mothers' pouches.
