Can a pineapple eat you? Don't be afraid. This question doesn't mean-a pineapple wants to eat you like an animal. But believe it or not, a pineapple can"eat" a little bit of you.

How does that work? When you eat food, your stomach breaks it down into smaller pieces. In a similar way, pineapples can break down parts of your body's cells. Why? Because pincapples have special enzymes (酶) that break down proteins.

To understand this, imagine a protein as a pearl necklace  (珍珠项链). Many small pearls come together to form the long necklace. Now, if you cut the necklace with a pair of scissors, it falls apart.The enzymes in pineapples work just like those scissors— they"cut up" proteins.

All living. things are made of proteins. Proteins are an important part of the cells in your body.When you eat a pineapple, its enzymes break the cells in your mouth.. That's why your mouth may.hurt if you eat' too much pineapple. Luckily, the cells in your mouth heal (愈合) : fast. And once the pineapple reaches your stomach, its enzymes are broken down. So it won't"eat" you anymore.

        ▲  In fact, young pineapples have stronger enzymes than fully-grown ones. Some scientists believe the plan uses these enzymes to stop animals from eating its unripe fruit. Once the fruit is fully. grown. its enzymes become weakcr, and the fruit is safe to eat.

Another explanation is that the enzymes help the pineapple grow. They send messages to the plant's cehis, telling them when to start or stop growing. Without these enzymes, the seed may not develop properly.

Many people are trying to learn a new language. Some consider it a hobby. Others have to learn a language because of their jobs or studies. As a foreigner who is really interested in Chinese culture, I like learning Chinese.

It is thought that a person needs to know at least 3,000 Chinese characters(汉字) to understand most Chinese newspapers. The problem for most foreigners, however, is that knowing 3,000characters sounds like an impossible task, because many of the Chinese characters look the same.That's why some people give up halfway. It's the most arduous part for me, too. But I managed to learn how to write each character by watching videos online. Whenever I saw a character 1 didn't know in the street or on a menu, I would just write it down on my phone and then look it up. Slowly,I' ve learned the common characters in daily life.

It's also important to listen to Chinese as much as possible. I downloaded (下载) a lot of.listening materials onto my phone and listened to them on the way to school and work. I also watched a lot of Chinese TV shows and films, where the words are not so difficult, and there are.always subtitles (字幕). It's really helpful for my listening.

As for speaking, I practice talking about different topics in Chinese when I am walking around,talking to myself or in my head, thinking through different conversations and situations. For example, whenever I was going to a shop, I would think about how to say that in Chinese. It helps me to think in a Chinese way, which is really important.

Learning a language is never easy. As for me, I just use every tool on hand and take my Icaming step by step, and I'm still learning new things to this day!

The word"longevity" comes from the word"long". It means that people are living a long life.So in the traditional Spring and Autumn Period, people considered longevity as the most important goal.
