The next day, I was greeted by many people with warm smiles. In the following classes, I started to join in actively. My math teacher asked a question. I raised my hand and answered it. After I heard claps（掌声）from every corner of the classroom, I smiled at others and at myself. 

Now, I have got a job that I like very much. My life changed and I seemed to grow from those lonely days. 

①As we know, eating vegetables is good for us. They are full of vitamins and minerals（维生素和矿物质）that help keep our bodies healthy. Why do some people like them but others don't? A new study has found that likes and dislikes from other people could be a reason. According to the research, people who show a clear dislike while eating vegetables can influence others. 

②People make facial expressions（面部表情）when eating. How does it influence a person's food choice? A team of scientists in the UK did a study. They asked more than 200 young women to watch videos of other adults eating carrots. The people in the videos had different expressions while eating. They would smile, seem either happy or sad, or look disgusted（厌恶的）。

③The study found that after people watched those videos of people with disgusting faces, they began to like carrots less. However, when someone had a smile while eating carrots, people watching them liked carrots more. 

④By watching others, humans learn which behavior will be good for them. Scientists believe people may dislike food that looks bad and refrain from eating it. In this way, people can stop themselves from eating something bad or dangerous. 

⑤The research focused only on adults, but scientists believes that the results could also work for children. Children are very good at copying what adults do. This means if children see their parents not enjoying certain food, including vegetables, they might not want to eat them either. 

⑥Scientists hoped to learn more about how adults' behavior influences children's food choices. In this way, they could find ways to help children to eat more healthy food. 

①Have you ever seen some bright sparks（火花）light up the night sky, creating a fantastic rain of flowers? It is Striking Iron Flower（打铁花）, a traditional folk art form. It has been in China for more than 1, 000 years. It is deeply rooted（根植）in traditional Chinese culture. 

②Striking Iron Flower usually takes place during important festivals. People get together to watch this wonderful performance. The blooming（盛放的）sparks stand for good luck and happiness. 

③It is not easy to perform Striking Iron Flower. To begin with, the performers put waste iron in a big oven. Then, they heat the iron at a very high temperature until it becomes liquid（液体）. Finally, they use special tools to splash the liquid iron into the air. When the liquid iron meets the cold air, it will turn into beautiful sparks. 

④Performers need to have strong arms, good skills and a lot of courage. They have to practise hard for a long time to get the special skills. How great they are!

⑤Nowadays, more and more young people are becoming interested in it and want to keep it alive. They hope to carry forward this special art form and let it become brighter in the future. 

The expression"Love you, laoji" is very popular online. It"love yourself". In our daily life, we face a lot of pressure from work, study, or other things. Sometimes we are too hard on ourselves. This expression reminds us to be asto ourselves as we are to our best friends. 

So how do we love"laoji" andstress?

We should take real breaks. Real rest is not just staying up late to watch videos or playing games until midnight., we can do something that truly relaxes ourselves, such as going to a concert or going camping. These small breaks help us clear our minds and feel better. 

We need to learn to say"no". We don' t have to be perfect. Makingis part of learning. Tell ourselves, "I did my best today, and that is enough. " Remember, everyone has their own pace（节奏）。 Don' tourselves with others. Pay attention to our own, no matter how small it is.
