How much exercise do children need to keep healthy? Every parent wants to know the answer.

A study shows children should exercise their muscles（肌肉）and bones at least three times a week. Different sports help different parts of the body. Climbing is good for muscles because it makes arms and legs work hard. Jumping and running help bones grow strong. Children also need aerobic（有氧的）exercise every day, like fast walking, running or riding bikes. These activities keep the heart and body healthy.

However, many children dislike outdoor exercise now. They like to stay indoors, playing computer games or watching TV for long hours. They move little and become less active. So what can parents do to help?

Dr. Stephanie Walsh gives some advice. She finds many parents just take walks with their children, but this is often not the best way. "Walking is healthy, but it's too boring for children," she says. "When you take your kids out for a walk, play small games, talk about interesting things, or find fun along the way. Then exercise will not be boring."

Playing with friends is also very useful. When children play outside with friends, they run, jump and laugh naturally. They do exercise without really thinking about it. Slowly, exercise becomes a happy and important part of their life.

All parents hope their children can grow healthily. The key is to make exercise easy and enjoyable, not difficult or boring. With the right ways, children will love to be active and keep exercising every day.

Healthy eating habits aren't what you eat, but how you eat. Here are some suggestions on healthy eating.

Eat breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. After you don't eat for the past ten hours, your body needs food to give you energy. 

Eat different food, especially fruit and vegetables.  When you eat different food, you can get more nutrients（营养物质）the body needs.

Drink water as often as possible. When you' re really thirsty, water is the No.1 choice.  It can help you grow strong.

Listen to your body. Ask yourself if you are really hungry. If you really feel hungry, try to drink a glass of water first before you have meals. If you do so, you can eat less food.
