I' ve always believed sports, but I simply didn't get along. I just hated sports. In school, I was known to be often secretly"sick" on sports day. My mom was my partner, writing notes(假条)about my"bad foot" to get me out of PE.

Then came the invitation. A close friend asked me to his birthday football game."Absolutely not," a voice shouted from the bottom of my heart. But it was his birthday. So, with a heavy heart,I went—— fully planning to stand safely at the side and just watch.

But something unexpected happened the moment I stepped onto the grass. I found myself following the ball. I even kicked it once, passing to a teammate, and we both started laughing.When someone scored, I cheered without thinking. I was... having fun.

When my mother heard about it, she was surprised."Football? Really?" she asked,remembering all her old notes."In fact, it was pretty good," I said.

Now, every Sunday finds me in the football field with friends. Why do I keep going back?It's more than exercise or friendship. It's the simple joy of doing something just because it's fun.

The best part? My mom, who used to be my note-writer, saw me putting on my football shoes one day and said,"Well, if you can try something new, maybe I can too." Soon after, she joined a local walking group!

Looking back, I never imagined kicking a ball could change something. But it did. It taught me that joy often waits on the other side of"I can' t". Why not give something you hate a chance,too?

Have you ever received a polite smile from a worker at a highway toll booth(收费站)? In fact,similar scenes have played out in many places. Recently, a well-known chain store has introduced a"10-4 program" for its workers.

The program's rule is clear and detailed. Workers must smile politely and wave warmly from ten feet away. When a customer comes within four feet, they must personally greet them. The workers have received a smile guidebook that says,"Lift the corners of your mouth, part your lips to show your teeth, and hold this until the customer smiles back." Can kindness that comes from strict instructions ever be truly warm and sincere?

Besides, treating every customer the same way can do more harm than good. People are different. Some welcome a friendly chat, while others simply wish to be left alone to shop or eat in peace. Imagine being asked many times during a meal,"Is everything alright?" How annoying!The customers may feel uncomfortable. More importantly,  when workers  focus too much on following these rules, they might forget other important tasks, like filling the shelves or helping other customers.

So, what makes truly good service? It should come from the worker's own sincere wish to help. It depends on personal judgment and a friendly environment, not on mechanical instructions from a handbook. Good service should be a goal to encourage, not a fixed order to follow without thinking.

In short, the"polite smile" at the highway toll booth and the chain store's detailed service rule share the same key problem. They both replace the true spirit of service—— warmth from the heart—— with simple rules from a handbook.

①Beijing is home to some special birds—— Beijing Swifts. For hundreds of years, these birds have lived closely with the city, seeing its changes and becoming an important part of its long history.

② Beijing Swifts have lived in Beijing since the 1400s. When the old city walls were created back then, they gave these swifts perfect places  to  build  their nests.  Beijing  Swifts,  also  called  Yuyan,  are connected to Yanjing, an old name for Beijing used in ancient times. These birds have become a special part of Beijing's history.

③Beijing Swifts have strong flying skills▲. They only land when they need to raise their babies. How they sleep is still unknown. These swifts arrive in Beijing every April and leave in late summer after their young birds grow up. For a long time, no one knew where these swifts went in winter. According to the report in 2025, scientists put light geolocators(定位器) on some swifts nesting in the Summer Palace. These small objects helped them find out that the swifts fly all the way to southern Africa for winter.

④ Sadly, Beijing Swifts are becoming fewer and fewer, and there may be two main reasons.First, they are losing their nesting places as there are fewer old buildings with high walls. Second,there are fewer insects, which makes it hard for them to survive. However, there is still hope——birdwatching has become very popular in China, especially among young people, which helps draw people's attention to protecting swifts.

⑤As an important part of Beijing's history and natural beauty, Beijing Swifts need our protection, and their future depends on choices we make. Only by protecting them can people inBeijing continue to enjoy these amazing birds for years to come.

Li Ming: WCK stands for our three key online rules: Wise, Careful, and Kind."Wise" is all about thinking before you share."Careful" serves as a reminder to watch out for online risks and strange messages.

Lily:Yeah, truly creative. What are the most common problems online for teens?

Li Ming: Many worry about online bullying, wrong information, and too much screen time.

Sam:What do you usually do to help?

Li Ming: For example, we tell friends to be kind and report bullying. We also teach how to check if the information is true.

Sam:Has it been easy to get everyone to listen?

Li Ming: Not always. Some people think safety education is unnecessary and boring, or too much trouble.  We want everyone to see that learning to be safe can be interesting.

John:Do you have any other advice?

Li Ming: Sure. Being safe online sounds difficult. Just ask for help if you see something bad. The most important thing is to be safe and kind online.

The cake was soft and  , filled with smooth red beans in old traditions. Now it comes with more different   to meet different tastes. Its bright red color is a  of success and good luck. It has become a special gift for students before important exams,  Gaokao.For students, Ding Sheng Cake shows the hope of achieving their dream marks. More than just a delicious snack, it  good wishes.

As we all know, Yue Fei was a famous national hero during the Southern SongDynasty. He was a brave general who led his army to (战斗) against enemies and protect his country. He led his army with  (严格) rules because he knew that no rules, no success. However, he also treated his soldiers really (好) and cared about their needs very much. That's why he was deeply  (爱) by his soldiers.

Although he was treated unfairly in his time, he has influenced us for hundreds of y.His story tells us to love our family and our motherland.

Yue Fei' s story is touching, and if we want to learn more about him, we can visit his temple—— Yue Fei Temple. It is located at the southern foot of Qixia Hill by the beautiful  Lake in Hangzhou.

In the main hall of Yue Fei Temple, there is a huge picture that shows the scene of Yue Fei' s mother tattooing(刺花纹) words"Jin Zhong Bao Guo" on back. If you visit this place, you can read poems written by Yue Fei and learn why he is still remembered today. It is a meaningful place to !

Each week, Timmy would spend all his pocket money on the very first day, never feeling it was enough. His father hoped Timmy would learn to be more responsible with his money. Soon, a chance (come): a camping trip.
