Animals play so many important roles in our lives. Some, like cows and sheep, provide us with food; pets are our friends; other animals work for us. Above all, every animal-big or small-can fill us with a sense of the wonder of the natural world.

Unluckily, we didn't care about that. Many animals are endangered because of our actions, and millions of animals in the world are badly treated. World Animal Day reminds us, at least for one day a year, to celebrate animal life in all its forms, and to be thankful for the way in which animals enrich our lives.

World Animal Day was started in 1931 in Florence,Italy. It is now celebrated in most countries around the world. The day falls on October 4th every year.It makes us pay attention to the problem of endangered animals around the world.

All over the world on this day, volunteers raise money for animal centers and social organizations. Museums and zoos organize special events. Schools have also joined animal projects. No matter what is done, the idea is to remind us of the importance of animals and to show us how we could improve our relationship with animals.

Animals are not only our friends, but also the priceless natural resources.Protecting and saving animals can make us share a blue sky. So, let us take actions from now on.

When two people meet, there are a lot of ways of greeting. The ways of greeting are not always the same in different countries.

In America, two people usually greet each other with a handshake. It is a way to show respect to the other person. Athletes from opposite teams shake hands before a game for the same reason.However, most Americans don't shake hands when they meet people they have already known well. When American friends meet each other, they might only wave (挥手), or maybe just nod their heads.

In New Zealand, there is a special way of greeting called "Hongi". In the greeting, two people press their noses and foreheads(前额)together and close their eyes. This is an old tradition that comes from the Maori, who were the first people to live in New Zealand. Even today, many New Zealanders still press their foreheads when they meet.

Kissing is sometimes used as a way to greet someone. In some countries, important people used to wear special rings. It was the custom for visitors to kiss these rings when they came for a meeting. In France, when people met, they sometimes kiss each other on the face.

In Japan, people bow to each other every time they meet. Even family members bow to each other. How low to bow depends on how respected the other person is.

Today, new ways of greeting are created all the time. People can do this with a quick "hi", a handshake, or even a simple smile. The important thing is that the people they are greeting understand them.

The most important festival in China is the Spring Festival.. .In Beijing,there are different kinds of things you can do during the Spring Festival. There are the best palces to taste traditional Beijing snacks.With a long history, Xi'an pays more attention to this traditional festival.Soon before the holiday, people start to decorate Xi'an City Wall with all kinds of lanterns.In Guangzhou, almost every street is filled with flowers..

If you are interested in the festival,enjoying it with local families is the most wonderful thing,because the local home is the best place to learn about festival.

In America, you can see performances in Chinatown in San Francisco,such as art performances and dragon and lion dances..In Washington,Chinese people usually have some activities in a local shopping center, which attracts many Amercian people to see. In Paris, you can enjoy a Chinese-style parade(游行) there.Chinese organizations held the make-up parade in 1989 for the first time. It attracts lots of people every day.

For middle and primary school students, Learning to cook has become a must.They will also need to learn how to1 vegetables,raise animals.

The Ministy of Education(MOE教育部)brought out a new standard for labor education in school last year.From the 2022 fall term, students in primary and middle schools2 take courses on labor skillw at least one a week .

The new standard includes3 kinds of labor tasks. The first is for things like everyday chores, including cleaning,organizing,cooking and maintaining home appliances. Next is productive labor,such as4 hand-made works and using new technologies.The third is service work which includes volunteer work.

Schools in China have5 paid attention to studying. Many have seen chores6 a waste of children's time. But according to the MOE, labor education must be built up to help students and develop an interest in labor.

Online, people have been busy discussing new standard on social media.Liu Fang,a mother of 6-year-old twins in Beijing, strongly7 labor education. For the past year, she has trained8 daughters to do chores and make simple dishes for the family.

59.Wang took different kinds of hard training which many people can't imagine, Once wearing a 100-kilogram training suit, she stayed underwater for 6 hours.After the training, Wang's hands kept shaking so terribly that she was unable to hold chopstickes,But even so, she never thought of giving up. She proved to people that women can complete the same hard training as men and do a job as well as men, even in the space.

After Wang's first space trip in 2013, she went to space again last year.That was her second trip.She spent 195 days in space in total, and this is a new record for the Chinese astronauts.

On March 8, Wang sent a video message to women around the world. In the video, she said,"Ladies, although our nationalities and jobs are different, women all over the world have the same dream to make a peaceful world."60.她希望更多的女孩能实现她们的航天梦。"If you do so, one day, when you look up, you will see that your dream of going to the sea of stars is already within reach,"Wang said.

Wang Yaping has set a good example for all of us.
