Once there was a lovely vegetable field with a very big tree in it. Both the vegetables and the tree made the garden look wonderful. 

In fact, the vegetables and the tree couldn't get on 1 with each other. The vegetables hated the tree because they thought the tree didn't leave them enough 2 by covering them with its thick leaves, while the tree thought that the vegetables drank nearly all the water before it could reach him.

Once, a villager had a donkey and a goat. He used the donkey to carry things from the village to the city. Then he sold things in the city all day. Sometimes he would lend his donkey to others when they needed it. As the donkey worked hard the whole day, the villager fed the donkey more food than he gave to the goat.

The goat was jealous (嫉妒的) of the donkey. It advised the donkey "You work hard all day, but you don't get enough rest. You can lie on the ground and pretend (假装) to be ill (生病的). In this way, you'll have a good rest for a few days." The donkey agreed and acted as if it was ill. The villager asked a doctor for help. The doctor said, "Your donkey has a strange illness. To help it become healthy, you must feed it the meat of a goat."

The villager killed the goat and cooked soup with the goat's meat. Then he fed the soup to the donkey. The goat tried to harm the donkey out of jealousy, but it was killed for its bad nature.

As an exchange student, I've been in London for about a year until now. Before I came here, I had no idea what it would be like to live and study in London. 

Food in London

It is easy to find delicious food in London. Here it is possible to taste food from all over the world. You can also try traditional British food such as fish and chips. 

Weather in London

Does it always rain in London? Not really. Sometimes it rains, and sometimes it's sunny and beautiful. In fact, local people carry both sunglasses and an umbrella with them throughout the year. 

Attractions (景点) in London

There are many famous attractions in London such as the London Eye, the Tower of London and the Science Museum. You can take a double- decker bus (双层巴士).  The bus usually stops near most tourist attractions. You can get off the bus at any stop. Outside the city there is beautiful countryside and a lot of castles, parks and gardens. 

 It is a great place to visit and learn about.

You asked me about the Dragon Boat Festival. Now let me tell you something about it.

The Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional Chinese festival we Chinese  (celebrate) for over 2,000 years. It's one of the three most important lunar festivals in China, along with the Spring Festival and the Mid-Autumn Festival. The Dragon Boat Festival took place on the (thirty-one) of May in 2025.

Throughout the years, many stories have been told about the (begin) of this festival. Among them, the  (famous) one is about Qu Yuan, a well-known scholar in ancient China. He not only (write) good poems but also gave suggestions to the king. Although he devoted himself to(he) country, the king didn't like him. This great person drowned (溺水) himself in the Miluo River on the 5th day of the5th Chinese lunar month because his Chu State fell to Qin State. Local people tried to save him or find his body, but they didn't (success).Qu Yuan was later considered as national hero. To remember him, every fifth day of the fifth lunar month, people beat drums and go boat racing on the river as they once did(keep) fish away from his body.

Dragon boat racing is one of the most important customs Chinese people practise to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival. This activity is held (wide)in China's southern and southeastern areas where there are lots of rivers and lakes.
