I'll never forget the day when I went on a hot- air balloon trip. It was a birthday gift from my aunt. 

I had to 1 early, but it wasn't a problem. I couldn't sleep because I was so excited. 

My parents and my aunt came to 2 . They waved (挥手) as I got into the balloon. There were five other people and the pilot (飞行员) in it. When we took off, it was quite 3 and I couldn't hear anything. Then it became much quieter, I can't describe the 4 . It felt like a dream. The sky was blue and clear. I could see all the people below us. They were getting smaller and smaller 5 we got higher and higher. 

6 , a rainstorm began! The balloon started to drop. The pilot decided to land as quickly as possible, but he couldn't control (控制) the balloon. The wind was 7 us to the sea. It was very scary (吓人)!

Very soon, the 8 changed direction and we were finally able to land on a hill. We got out of the balloon. Luckily, no one was hurt. I could walk back to my 9 and show them I was OK. 

Was I 10 ? Yes, a little. Will I ever do it again? Not sure!

Welcome to Sanxingdui Museum

It is in Chengdu. It is a modern thematic site (专题性遗址) museum in China. There are two halls with a display (展示) area of nearly 12, 000 square meters in it. Welcome!

Martin got an important lesson from his teacher Mr. Lee. He will never forget it. 

One day, Martin and Mr. Lee went out for a walk. They reached a farm where Martin saw a pair of old shoes. They seemed to belong to (属于) a poor farmer who would return after a whole day of hard work. Martin thought of an idea, "Why don't we hide these shoes and wait? It will be fun to watch his reaction (反应) when he can't find his shoes. " Mr. Lee thought about it for a while and asked Martin to put some coins in his shoes. 

The farmer finished his work. As he put his foot in the shoes, he felt something hard. He was amazed to find coins. He took them out and saw if (是否) someone was looking for them. He didn't see anyone, so he kept them in his pocket. He got moved and tears came out of his eyes. 

The farmer looked at the sky, "Many thanks to that unknown person. You help me at the time of need. 

Because of your kindness and help, now I can buy medicine (药) for my wife and bread for my hungry children. "

Martin's eyes were full of tears. Mr. Lee said, "Now tell me what makes you happier. "

 Martin said, "I understand the joy of giving is much more than taking. "

Thousands of miles from the Earth, in outer space, is a small planet, Fliptune. It is dark and cold, far from the Sun, behind a much bigger planet. Little green aliens (外星人) live there. They use torches (手电筒) to see. 

One day, a young alien, Neila, put the wrong batteries (电池) in her torch. 

Suddenly (突然), there was bright light. It went up into the sky, around the Sun and reached the Earth. 

The light hit a boy called Billy and his dog. Neila quickly turned the torch off, but the pair were caught by the light. They flew through space and landed near Neila. 

"Hello, " said Billy. Neila smiled. 

"Wow!" said Billy, "Everything's made of ice cream!"

"The ice cream never melts, and nobody eats it. It's too cold here, " said Neila. 

Neila looked sad. "Can you help us?" she said, "We need sunshine to make things grow. "

"No problem, " said Billy, "Can you get us home? I have an idea. "

"Wait there!" said Neila. She got her torch, put the wrong batteries in again——ZOOM! Billy and his dog flew back to the Earth. 

Billy pointed his bedroom mirror (镜子) between the Sun and Fliptune. The sunlight bounced off(弹出) the mirror and up onto Neila's planet. 

Thanks to Billy, Fliptune is not cold any more. Billy moves the mirror every day to keep the sun shining there. Now Neila and her friends sit in the sun and enjoy all the free ice cream. 

① On April 25, 2024, China successfully sent the Shenzhou-18 spaceship with three astronauts to Tiangong space station for a six- month mission (任务). Among the three astronauts, Ye Guangfu is the mission commander (指挥官), with rich experience. 

② Ye was born in Septembe, 1980 and grew up in a small village in Sichuan. At the age of eight, his father died. Ye remembered how difficult it was for his family to make a living. Although it seemed impossible for him to try out to become an air force pilot at first, his love for flying and hard work got him into the Air Force Aviation University of China. 

③ In 2009, Ye decided to reach even higher and applied to (申请) be an astronaut. Becoming an astronaut, one must face many challenges. Ye even trained in caves (洞穴) in Europe where he had to find his way through dark and wet caves. This made him the first Chinese person to finish this training. Ye never gave up his dream. And his hard work paid off when he made his first journey into space on the Shenzhou-13 mission on October 16, 2021. 

④ Ye is always thankful for all the difficult times because they help him keep going and stick to(坚持) his dreams. Ye is really a role model who shows us the importance of strong perseverance (毅力). 

For kids, mornings can be busy. Sometimes, you do not have breakfast because you do not have time. There are good reasons to make sure you eat a healthy breakfast every day. 

 After a night's sleep, your body needs a meal to give you energy until lunch time. People who do not eat breakfast often have less energy than people who eat a healthy breakfast. If you don't have breakfast, you will feel tired during the morning. 

You need to concentrate on (专注于) the teacher and your schoolwork. If you have trouble concentrating, you will find it harder to learn. This is the most important for students. 

 This happens because you get hungry before lunch time, and you cannot eat right away. You may lose your patience for being hungry. 

Every day your body needs nutrients (营养). If you do not have breakfast or any other meal, you might not grow well and stay healthy. 

 It is a great way to have a good start.

I want to tell you about my trip to the city space museum two days ago. I was (excite)! I went on an (usual) experience with my sister!

When we arrived, we started to explore. The space museum is very large and full of interesting objects (touch). The first room looks like deep space. There is information about different planets with a quiz (知识竞赛) at the end. The (win) has a chance to give a name for a planet- that's exciting. The (two) room looks like the inside of a spaceship. You can touch an astronaut's spacesuit. It looks really heavy! I don't know how an astronaut can wear it. And you can see where the astronauts prepare (they) food. 

We were looking at the oven (烤炉) from the spaceship when my sister (tell) me she was hungry. So we went to have a snack. We (eat) some baked biscuits. They were delicious. We have bought some for you— you will love them! They look rockets and taste like honey! After lunch, we explored more of the museum  stayed for the rest of the day. They were turning off the lights when we left!

The moon is at its brightest on the 15th day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar (阴历). On this day, people celebrate Mid- Autumn Festival. 

In ancient China, that day was a harvest festival because crops (庄稼) were harvested during that period (时期). It was a time for relaxation and celebration. 

The Mid- Autumn has its own special food just as other traditional Chinese holidays. People eat moon cakes with fillings such as sugar and eggs. The round shape of the cake makes it look like the full moon. The full moon and moon cakes stand for family reunion (团聚). 

With the beautiful moon up in the sky, people sit together, enjoy the full moon, eat moon cakes and fruits, share the stories, and express the best wishes for the family members and friends who live far away.
