 Lychee(荔枝) is a kind of delicious fruit. It comes from warm and wet places in southern China. The sound of the word"lychee" comes from its Chinese name. Lots of people love eating it because it's delicious and full of vitamins(维生素). It can help people keep healthy and strong. However, ▲. Low temperature lychee preservation(保存) technology can help to solve the problem. Zhu Zhiwei is a teacher at South China University of Technology. He said"With this technology, the preservation period of lychee can be increased to one year. It allows people to enjoy the fresh fruit all year round."

 Once picked, the fruit only lasts around two or three days. In the fridge, lychee   can be stored for about 10 days. But the new technology can quickly freeze lychee below - 35℃ to store for one year. People now try to use the method to keep more than2000 tons of the fruit fresh. The technology will help solve the problem of selling bad lychee and selling them in high prices. And it will improve the quality of lychee in the future. With the help of it, lychee can keep the bright color and the good taste for a long time. It can be sold to other countries, including the United States, Japan, England and so on.

 The technology is safe and easy to use. It can also be used to keep other foods and vegetables fresh in the following years.

Many people see ice cream as a Western food. However, this  food actually came from China. In the Zhou Dynasty(朝代), Chinese people began to store winter ice to  in summer. In the Song Dynasty, people started to make binglao-it just means"ice cream" English. It was a lot like modern ice cream. It is said that Emperor Huizong  a stomachache after eating too much ice. In the Yuan Dynasty, Marco Polo tasted binglao and carried the idea all the way back to Europe. People there added heavy cream and created new tastes.

 Sometimes, totally different cultures have similar  . Here are some examples. Iranians love a  of flat bread, sangak. People in Shanxi, love stone pancakes(石头煎饼). These two look almost the same. People often compare roujiamo to the hamburger  is a symbol of American food. Many people call  the"Chinese hamburger". Pizza is from Italy and jianbing is from China. They are both round and  with delicious food. Taco comes from Mexico  the spring roll(春卷) comes from China. These two also look almost the same.

 Food is a bridge between cultures. It can help us know more about different food cultures in different countries.

 English has been popular in China for many years. Many students love learning English because it is important and interesting. The students in English Club of Yangguang school are sharing their opinions about English in class.

Li Hua thinks English is an important language which connects people from all over the world. And he believes that learning English is very important because it can help us understand the world better.
