    Hi, I'm Jackie. These days, my friends are talking about their own dream(理想的) houses. What about mine? My dream house has two gardens(花园). The front garden is big and has many flowers and trees. I can take a walk in it. There is a swimming pool (游泳池) in the back garden. I can swim there at any time.

    My dream house has two floors. On the ground floor (首层), there is a small hall(厅). You can see it after you walk past the front door. On the right of the hall is a wonderful living room. It looks very big. There I can talk with friends, watch TV and even have a big party. On the left, there is a computer room. The computer room is my favourite. I love computer games. I play them very well. There is also a dining room and a kitchen on the ground floor. On the first floor, there are six bedrooms, and each has a bathroom. When my friends stay with me, they can have a bath in their own rooms. There is a big bed in each bedroom. So we can have a good sleep. Well, that is my dream house. Don't you think it's wonderful?

    I live in a big city. I love my house because it is in a very good place just outside of the city. It is very quiet here. The houses here are all big and beautiful.

    There are no houses on the left or behind my house. To the right of my house is a big bungalow. There is a small park across the street. When I want to walk or relax, I usually go there.

    I am happy with my neighborhood except for one thing: There is no hospital near my house. That sometimes causes problems for the people living here. I think there should be a hospital in my neighborhood. Two days ago, one of my neighbors had a high fever and we had to travel 30 kilometers to the nearest hospital.

    I like to meet new people and make friends with them. I feel very happy because there is a club in the neighborhood. It is a great place to meet and know new people.

    Mike had a nice blue cup which he liked best. It was a present from his aunt for his fifteenth birthday last year. He cleaned it once a day and took good care of it. His cat, Mimi, was very naughty(淘气的) and sometimes it could make some trouble(麻烦) for Mike.

    The day before yesterday, the cup was broken(打破) by his cat. He felt unhappy. Susan saw him and asked, "You look sad. What's the matter with you?"

    Mike said, "There is something wrong with my cup."

    Susan said, "Don't worry. I can repair it."

    Mike felt surprised and asked, "Repair? You can repair it? You?"

    "Yes. Believe me! Where is it?" Susan answered.

     "Here. My cup is broken. Are you sure you can repair it?" Mike took out his broken cup.

     "Ha……, I made a mistake(错误). I think your__1__ is broken," Susan said.

    Hearing what Susan said, Mike couldn't help laughing.

    One day an old man sells(出售) a big elephant. A young man comes to the elephant and begins to look at it slowly(慢慢地). The old man goes up to him and says near his ear. "Don't say anything about the elephant before I sell it, then you can get some meat." "All right." says the young man.

    After the old man sells the elephant, he gives the young man some meat and asks, "How can you see the bad ears of the elephant?" "I don't see the bad ears，"says the young man. "Then why do you look at the elephant slowly?" asks the old man. The young man answers, "Because  I want to see what an elephant looks like."
