Classes finish at 4:30 p.m. I often do sports with my friends after school. We like 8 , so we are in the ping-pong club. Then I go home at 6:00 p.m. I usually eat 9 with my parents. After that, I 10 . The homework usually takes me about an hour. Then at 9:30 p.m., I go to bed.

My school life is busy but happy.

Hello! My name is Liu Ying and my English name is Cindy. I like English very much. For some students, English is boring (无聊的). For me, it's really interesting, because I can do some fun things in class.

Look! The woman in the photo is our English teacher, Miss Green. She is twenty-five years old and she is from the UK. Her Chinese is very good, but in class she only speaks English with us.

Why is her English class so interesting? Before class, she often reads a short story (故事) to us. In class, she likes using picture cards to help us learn English. We can play games in class too. And role play is my favorite in her class. We play the roles in the book to learn English. It's great fun! We have English classes every week, three in the morning and two in the afternoon. We're happy to meet Miss Green every school day.

This term, Xiao Yang has a new subject-geography. But he doesn't like it. "It's not useful at all," he thinks. So he always plays games in class.

Mr Wang is his geography teacher. He is nice to the students in his class. One day, he finds Xiao Yang isn't interested in his class. He comes to Xiao Yang's desk and asks, "Hi, Xiao Yang. Where are you from?"

"I'm from Sichuan, Mr Wang."

"Oh, that's a nice place! Can I ask you some questions?"

"Sure."

"Why does Emei have mountains? Where does the Jialing River start? And why is it so hot in Chengdu from July to September?"

"I'm sorry, Mr Wang. I don't know," Xiao Yang says.

"Do you want to know?" Mr Wang asks.

"Yes, Mr Wang. But how?"

Hello, I'm Harry. I'm a student of Hogwarts School. It's a great castle (城堡). I take the train to school every autumn and then I live and study in the castle with my classmates.

I often get up at half past six and go to the classroom with my friends. Some of our classrooms are under the ground floor (一层). We don't have lessons like English, maths or geography, but we have history. We have four lessons in the morning. Classes start at 8 o'clock. In the afternoon, we have two lessons. My favorite subject is PE. On the left of the castle, there's a school playground. We play games there in PE classes. In the evening, we have dinner in the hall on the ground floor.

After dinner, I like to go to the library in the middle of the castle. There are a lot of books in it. I also do my homework there. I go to bed at nine o'clock. I like my school life very much.

The school day begins at 8:45. Class teachers meet class and check who is not here.  It takes an hour for us to have one lesson, then we have a rest for fifteen minutes. The lunch break is from 1:00 to 1:50 and the school day finishes at 4:00. We have Chinese, English, maths, geography, history and science.  It's difficult but interesting. My maths teacher, Mr. Lu, says it is useful. He is very kind and fun. 

 We can sing, play basketball, play soccer ... But we only choose one class.  Last year we won the football and tennis, and some students won swimming.
