In Guiyang, a new trend(潮流) called"color walks" encourages people to slow down and enjoy nature. Instead of walking in a hurry, people choose one color first and then look for it in parks, streets and riversides.  This small activity helps them find beautiful details in daily life. It is more than just taking photos.

When you spend time looking for pink flowers on Chengxin Road or purple wisteria(紫藤) in Huaxi Park, you start to concentrate on the things you' re doing now.  You notice how flowers change from day to day,  how the air smells, and how the colors mix in the sky.

The walk is a slow journey.  Instead of checking your phone or thinking about work, you follow the color like a map.  In the Red Area of GuizhouGarden, children stop to count the petals(花瓣) of a tulip(郁金香), and adults sit down to watch bees fly from one flower to another. This kind of attention makes people feel calm and connected to the world.

"Color walks" show us that a city is not only made of buildings and roads,but also full of lively natural beauty. When we walk slowly and watch different colors around us, we can be peaceful. Many people say this activity helps them feel less tired and learn to thank for the small things in life. So this summer,just choose your favorite color, go out and let colorful sights bring you a slow and wonderful life.

AI is a special computer system. It can learn and finish hard work that used to be done only by people. We use AI every day. But some people are worried about students using AI too much. In the UK, students under 13 can't use AI alone. They need a grown-up(成年人) they trust to help them.

Oxford University Press(牛津大学出版社) did a study. It asked almost4,000 British students aged 12 to 18 about how they feel about using AI in class and for homework.

In the study, students all got a writing task. Some of them wished they hadAI to help. But the other students chose not to use it. A student who refused(拒绝) AI said:"AI doesn't have its own ideas and it may give wrong information." Another student used AI because he was bad at spelling and needed help with difficult words.

All the results show students hold different opinions about AI. Only 18%often use AI to do homework, while 29% will turn to AI only when teachers ask them to. Besides, 42% believe using AI to finish all homework is cheating(作弊), and only 11% say their teachers have told them how to use AI well.

What's more, a few students hope their teachers use AI more, for AI can help teachers plan lessons and make hard schoolwork easy to understand. More students don't think so. They say teachers have special skills that AI will never have because teachers are caring and truly understand them.

In the south of China, there are special days called"hui nan tian". FromFebruary to April every year, it feels like everything is full of water.

Why does"hui na tian" happen? When winter turns to spring, warm and wet air from the sea meets cold air. The cold air is usually under 12℃.It's just like the bathroom after a shower—— water drops can be on winaows,floors, and walls!

What problems does"hui na tian" bring? Food goes bad easily. Shoes may even become mouldy(发霉的). Floors become slippery(滑的) so it's easy for people to slip. People may feel lazy and even unhappy.

What can we do during these days?

· Keep windows closed in the morning and evening, because it's always wet at that time.

·

· Dry clothes indoors with fans or dryers.

· Clear away the water with dry towels(毛巾) 2—3 times a day.

 The wet weather helps trees and flowers grow. It's also a gift for farmers. Let's face it actively. The sun will shine again, our dry and happy homes will also come back soon!

Beatrix Potter was a British writer. She wrote The Tale of Peter Rabbit. At first, the story was a letter for a sick child.

In the story, Mrs. Rabbit lived with 1 children of hers in a little house near the woods. She had three good daughters and one naughty(淘气的)son named Peter.

One day, Mrs. Rabbit told 2 , "Do not go into Mr. McGregor's garden! Your father went there and 3 came back. I don't want to see such things happen again."

Peter' s4 listened to their mother. They went to pick blackberries along the road. But Peter sneaked(溜走) under the gate into Mr. McGregor's garden. He ate many vegetables and had a 5 time.

6 , Mr. McGregor saw him!"Stop, you naughty rabbit!" he shouted.He7 Peter with a rake(耙子). Peter ran so hard that he lost his shoes and his beautiful blue jacket. Mr. McGregor almost caught him!

Finally, Peter left Mr. McGregor's garden. He ran all the way home without(没有)8 . He was 9 and scared. His mother put him to bed with a cup of hot tea. His good sisters had bread, milk and blackberries for supper.

This story tells us rules are there to keep us safe. Peter did not listen,10

Long, long ago in China, letters traveled by pigeons and horses. At that time, only rich people and officials could send letters.

In 1896, China opened its (one) post office —— the Great QingImperial Post Office(大清邮政官局). With a stamp, anyone could send letters and parcels(包裹). Ships and trains (carry) the mails, but they could not reach every place quick).

In November 1949, China decided  (open) post offices in cities and towns. That was certainly(excite) news for many people.

Today, we don't often write letters. post offices are still useful.They bring important papers such  college admission letters(大学录取通知书) to students. They also help us get newspapers. Some post offices work like banks. You can save money there.

 amazing thing is that China Post even works in places likeAntarctica and the space station. Now China Post has online shops. This makes(it) service(服务) faster and better. People can get things they need more easily.

Old ways of sending(message) may go away, but post offices are still here for us.

Journey(旅行) to the East

Two Frenchmen, 27-year-old Rene and 26-year-old Loic, had a special trip. In September 2024, they started their journey from Annecy, France.They walked non-stop. They went through 16 countries and wore out six pairs of shoes. After walking about 13,000 kilometers, Rene and Loic finally arrived in China in September 2025.

They went to Gansu first. There, they were amazed by beautiful Danxia landforms(丹霞地貌). Also, they were surprised by modern cities."There are so many modern things, and we have to learn all the new digital(数字的)habits," Loic told China Daily.

Then they arrived in Henan. Rene and Loic met their fans for the first time at a noodle restaurant. The fans watched their travel vlog on the social media(社交媒体). These kind fans made them love China even more."Every day, people give us something like postcards and snacks to welcome us," they said.

In the end, they arrived in Shanghai on February 7, 2026. But they plan to keep traveling. They think slow travel is a greener and deeper way to see the world.
