In the 2026 CCTV Spring Festival Gala(春晚), a beautiful show calledHe Hua Shen(Ode to the Flower Gods 贺花神) won people' s hearts. It showed 12 flower gods. Each of them stands for a flower in a different month. These flowers and gods bear rich Chinese culture.

Long ago, Chinese people loved flowers. They used flowers to know the time of year. The idea of 12 flower gods started in ancient times and became popular in the Tang and Song dynasties.

The 12 flower gods were well-known for both their beauty and good personalities. Some famous people today also have the similar personalities like the gods. The directors of He Hua Shen chose the most well-known ones from old books. For example, the lotus god is Zhou Dunyi. He wrote a famous article saying the lotus is pure and noble(崇高的). Other flowers also have their own stories and gods. Through beautiful scenes, the show told these Chinese cultural stories in a lively and modern way.

Modern technology played an important part, too. With AI and 3D effects, the stage looked like a real garden.In the garden, flowers of twelve months bloomed at the same time, then the 12 flower gods came out from the middle of their flowers slowly. The amazing visual(视觉的) experience made the show popular among people of all ages, especially the young.

He Hua Shen is not just a show. It helps traditional Chinese culture become fresh and lively again. It allows people at home and abroad to understand traditional beauty in a new way.

Li Shizhen was a famous natural explorer. And he was born in 1518, Hubei Province. He worked as a doctor in his town and helped many people. But he soon found a big problem——— the old medicine books had many mistakes. Some herbs(药草) were drawn wrong. Some were given wrong names. If a doctor used the wrong herb,a patient could die. Li Shizhen decided to write a new book—— people could really trust.

So he left home and traveled far away. He walked through deep forests and climbed high mountains. He got wet in the rain and often felt hungry. But he did not give up. He talked to farmers, fishermen and hunters during his travels. He learned from them all. He even tasted new herbs himself, though some were dangerous. Once, he could not feel his body after tasting a dangerous plant. All these experiences were recorded in his book.

It took him about thirty years to finish his book. When the book was finished, Li Shizhen was no longer young. He called it Bencao Gangmu. The book told people about more than 1,800 herbs and medicines, with clear pictures and easy-to-follow notes. Even today, people around the world still read his book and learn from it.

Li Shizhen's life teaches us a simple lesson. Great things don't come from one big step. They come from small steps every day, and from a heart that really cares. Sometimes, the best medicine is not a plant. It is a person's quiet promise to help others, and he keeps that promise for his whole life.

Guilin Longji Terraces(梯田) is a world-famous landscape in Guangxi. For thousands of years, local people have lived in harmony with nature here. And they learn to make good use of natural  in mountain area.

Ancient people of Guangxi spent hundreds of years building terraces on hills. This clever design helped offer water to every field naturally, wasting a single drop. They used rain and sunlight as their main energy. They also use  farming ways. They require no modern machines or chemicals. For generations, protecting nature is a strong belief. And the belief is  into the future by villagers.

Now the local villagers develop tourism while protecting nature.They make every effort to keep  and rivers clean. In recent years, the number of tourists to LongjiTerraces has increased  . They come to enjoy the scenery and learn about this special culture. The villagers are getting richer for making business. They believe nature will bring people endless  if we treat it kindly.

The people of Guangxi have shown great wisdom in using nature while respecting it. The terraces remind  to protect our living environment and use natural energy reasonably. As middle school students, we need to stay  to nature just like local people. Their ancient life style tells us  we respect nature. We should continue on protecting the environment all the time.
