The different kinds of foods on TV are from 60 places. You can see so many delicious foods which can capture your eyes and stomachs. And you can also learn how to make the food. That's why the program becomes so popular.

What's more, the program is not only about food. As a saying goes,"You are what you eat." There are many great stories between food and people. To get enough food stories, the team spent three months doing research and nine months filming it. Liu Wen, a worker of CCTV 9, says the stories also show transformations (社会变迁).

"The program works as a window letting the world know more about China. And it wants to help people around the world not only enjoy the beauty of Chinese dishes, but also learn Chinese cultures." he says.

Helping others is a great thing to do. You can learn new things and have fun. You can help people, animals or the environment (环境). It can make you feel good, too! How can you help? Charities are organizations that help others, such as UNICEF or the World Wildlife Fund. You can help charities by giving your time, giving money or giving things. You can also help people or places you know. 

Volunteering Volunteering is when you give your time to help others. Some ways of volunteering are: 

●visiting old people to talk to them or help them. 

●walking dogs at an animal shelter. 

●cleaning up a park. 

Fund-raising Fund-raising is when you collect money to help others. Some ways of fund-raising are: 

●making cakes or biscuits to sell. 

●doing a sponsored activity. For example, family and friends give you money if you finish a long walk. 

Donating Donating is when you give your things to help others. Some ways of donating are: 

●giving your old toys or clothes to a charity that helps sick children or poor people. 

●giving your old books to a library. 

So, what can you do to help others? 

Everyone may meet some unhappy things with others. Here is some advice. 

 That means not gossiping (说闲话) about your teachers, your classmates and your friends. Gossiping about other people only sends bad feelings, and something bad will get back to them finally. You should say good things about people. 

 Because you will find it's unne-cessary to talk to people who don't listen to you. If it's really hard for you to get along with someone, then stay away. Don't tell people why they're acting poorly. 

Be polite. Being kind and polite can go a long way in helping you get out of trouble. Developing a habit of good manners (礼仪) and good social skills (技能) is good for you. If you're impolite to people, you'll develop a bad reputation (名声). No one will help you if you are in trouble. That's the worst result that nobody wants.
