We all need to exercise. Doctors say it is good for us. It makes our heart and body strong. It also gives you more energy (能量). And you will feel better about yourself. It's best to exercise twice a week. Twenty minutes each time is enough.

There are many ways to exercise. You can walk, run, play sports or swim. Many people go to special places to exercise. They are called "fitness centers". These places have a lot of equipment (设备). Some people buy equipment for their homes. But it is very expensive.

Exercising can be fun. Friends can exercise together at a fitness center. Or they can play sports together. How do you exercise?

Sara looked out of the window and sighed, watching the wind blow the trees. She didn't understand why her parents had to call off the party. The storm was none of their business because they lived far from the ocean.

"Sweetie, we'll have your party next weekend," her mother said. "The guests live far from us, and it's dangerous for them to go out today."

"My birthday is in this week," Sara turned on the television. But almost every station was talking about the storm. "I can't even watch my favourite shows. This storm is ruining everything."

Her mother sat down. "The storm is ruining many things. Look! Those people are trying to save their houses. Could you imagine if we lost our home?"

Sara looked at the screen. She knew she'd be really worried if her family lost their home. "What's going to happen to those people?" Sara asked.

"Usually when there's a big storm like this, people raise money and send things to the people who lost their homes."

"What should I do?" Sara asked.

Her mother pointed to the screen. "Call this number, and you will know what you can do for them." Sara nodded, "And maybe I could send my birthday present to them. Those people need it more than I do."

Her mother smiled, "I'm really proud of you, Sara."

There are many kinds of bears in the world. Lots of people don't like bears. They think bears are dangerous (危险的) animals. Here are some facts (事实) about bears.

Bears live in different places. Some bears live in warm places, like sun bears. Some bears live in cold places, like polar (极地的) bears.

Not all bears are brown. In fact, bears are in different colors. They can be white, brown or black. For example, polar bears are white.

Last winter, I volunteered at an animal center. One snowy afternoon, a thin, shaking dog 1 at the center's door. His big, sad eyes touched the heart of everyone. We let him in, dried his wet body, and gave him warm food. "Let's call him Lucky. Maybe we can turn his 2 around," said Anna, the center's manager.
