Zheng Qinwen, a 21-year-old Chinese girl who is good at playing tennis won the first gold medal in the women's singles tennis in Paris Olympics on 3 August, 2024.

This is the first time that Chinese team has won the Olympic gold medal in women's singles tennis, and the second in tennis after Li Ting and Sun Tiantian won the women's doubles title at the 2002 Athens Olympics games.
