Last summer, I joined a summer camp in the countryside with my classmates. It was a great experience that made me grow a lot.

The camp teachers were very1 . They always smiled at us and helped us solve problems patiently. Every morning, we woke up to the sound of birds singing. The environment there was so2 that we felt relaxed every day. Before the camp started, we spent two days3 it—we bought necessary things and learned some basic outdoor skills.

Li Hua is a seventh-grader living in Shenzhen. He has lived here since he was a little boy and loves how the city's seasons bring different joys. Let's follow his life through a year!

In spring, Shenzhen wakes up with warm sunshine and green leaves. The temperature usually stays between 18℃ and 25℃, but it often rains gently. On weekends, Li Hua often goes hiking with his family in Lianhuashan Park. "Spring makes the city look fresh and lively," Li Hua says.

Summer in Shenzhen is hot and wet. The days are long, and the temperature can reach 32℃. Li Hua's favorite activity is playing basketball with his friends after school. Sometimes, typhoons come, and schools have to close for safety. On those days, Li Hua studies at home, reads books, and helps his mom cook food. 

Autumn is Li Hua's favorite season. The weather becomes cool and dry, with little rain. The air is fresh, and the sky is blue. He often rides his bike to the seaside on weekends. They fly kites, collect shells, and watch the sunset over the sea. "Autumn in Shenzhen is so comfortable—neither too hot nor too cold," he smiles.

Winter in Shenzhen is short and warm. It never snows, and the temperature rarely(很少) drops below 10℃. In the morning, Li Hua wears a thin jacket to school. On sunny weekends, his family often has a picnic in the park, enjoying the warm winter sun.

Li Hua feels lucky to grow up in Shenzhen. Each season has its own charm, and he always finds fun things to do. 

"I feel my heart race, my eyes widen and almost automatically(自动地), I start to smile, "Prayitno Goemarto said. This is how he feels when he sees a new bird species(种类).

Goenarto is a birdwatcher and wildlife photographer from Indonesia. He is now 33 years old. When he became sick in college, his doctor told him to go out more often for sunlight,exercise and fresh air. That's when he started watching birds.

A birdwatcher needs to know a lot and be brave and strong. Goenarto spends most of his time working in the wild. He knows where and when to find different kinds of birds. Sometimes he has to go deep into the forest to find the shy birds in it. It can be dangerous. He might get lost. He has to watch out for snakes,scorpions(蝎子) and some big animals. Once, Goenarto went to a faraway island to look for some rare birds. It rained heavily every day. He worked in wet clothes for the whole trip.

Goenarto loves his work. Bird-watching helps him stay healthy and he can make friends with other birdwatchers. What's more, he often takes pictures of wonderful moments of the birds. Those help more people learn about birds and take steps to protect them. That's the best part of the job!

Chinese astronauts are having much better eating experience in space than before. In the past，there were not many kinds of foods for them to choose from. In 2003, during Yang Liwei's mission(飞行任务) on Shenzhou V，he had only 20 to 30 kinds of cold food. However，two years later, the number of food types grew to over 40. And there were more than 120 different dishes for astronauts to enjoy in 2021.

Bigger improvements continued in the same year. The world's first space microwave(微波炉) oven successfully arrived in space with the Chinese space station's cargo spacecraft Tianzhou-2. Now, with the microwave oven, it is possible for astronauts to have hot and tastier meals.

Before the space missions, China launches a survey to find out the astronauts' likes or favorites on food. Then, each astronaut would get a food list—different breakfast, lunch and dinner for different weeks.This way, astronauts don't get bored with the same food all the time.

The trip in space is often long and lonely, so food about "home" is provided in space. For example, astronauts can enjoy traditional Chinese food like dumplings on Chinese festivals, and they can even take traditional Chinese medicine to stay fit.

The improvement in astronauts' diets makes their space trips more fun and make them feel like home.

When we are new at a school, it's not easy to build new friendships. How to make friends with others?  

First, starting with simple steps like smiling may make it easier. Always keep smiling to show that you're kind.  No one likes to make friends with someone who always looks cold.

For quiet students，trying to be more outgoing（外向的）helps make friends.You can ask safe questions like "What's your hobby? "to start a talk.   It might be hard at the beginning，but if you stay friendly，you'll make more friends at school.

Join school clubs or sports teams.  If you join one, you'll meet many other students. Over time, you could become good friends with some of them. For example, football lovers can meet new friends during team practices.You can also try joining a book club if you love reading.

 Don't let shyness stop you from doing so. True friendships often begin with small, brave steps. It' s OK if you are not feeling confident now— just act like being confident until you make it! Keep trying, and you'll see some changes in your social life.

Friendship takes time, so be patient and stay kind to yourself and others along the way.

This is a quiet space for book lovers and future writers. We share good books, learn writing tips, and make a small magazine with our stories.

We play basketball,badminton, and have fun running games. The goal is to enjoy moving, make friends, and learn teamwork. 

D. Art & Design Club

Use brushes,clay, or even old materials to create art! We learn drawing, try comic design, make posters, and do handicrafts. 

E. School Radio Station

We play music,share school news, and make special holiday programs. We need clear voices and responsible students. We will teach you interviewing, editing, and speaking skills. 

F. Tech Helpers Club

We learn to use computers to solve problems and help others.Activities include making simple websites, learning about online safety, and helping teachers with presentations. 

There was an old man in a village. All the other villagers were tired of (he) because of his bad moods(情绪). Even on big days, while other villagers were celebrating，he was still complaining(抱怨). When people  (try)to cheer him up, he would turn them away. His bad moods could also  (easy) pass to others.He always made others feel unhappy as well. So nobody liked to stay with him.

An unbelievable thing happened on  day when he turned 

80. One neighbour told other villagers, "The old man is happy today. His face looks kinder than before and he smiles  us. He hasn't complained about anything. It's very strange，isn't it?" How  (surprise) the villagers were! They ran to see the old man. Someone asked him，"What happened to you?" "Nothing special has happened，in fact，" the man said. "For 80 years I have been unhappy. I kept  (wait) for happiness to come to me，but it never did. Now I just want to find joy in little  (thing) - like sunshine or a friendly hello. That's why I'm happy now."

Everyone has bad moods. It is important  (realize) that your moods can affect (影响) the people around you.  someone tries to cheer you up, don't push them away. Juist smile and say thank you.
