Last week, our history teacher gave us a special task: to "travel" to ancient Guangxi by using VR glasses. When I put them on, I found myself standing in a busy place by the side of the sea with many ships and people in old-style clothes. It was the starting point of the Sea Silk Road over 2, 000 years ago. 

My guide, named Li, smiled and said, "Welcome! This place was famous for trading (贸易) long ago." Li showed me a beautiful special bronze lamp (青铜灯) shaped like a bird. "This lamp is very special. It can use water to keep the air clean," he explained. Then, we met a foreign trader. Li traded beautiful silk for sweet-smelling spices (香料) with him. We used simple English, "Two boxes of silk for one box of spices?" The trader nodded, and everyone laughed. Next, we visited a workshop where people made big drums. "These drums are the symbol of Guangxi culture. They are important for our festivals," Li said. I tried to draw a picture on a drum, but my lines (线条) were in a mess. Li said, "It doesn't matter. Practise more and you will do better!" 

When the trip ended, I took off the glasses. I felt excited and proud. I really understood the history of ancient Guangxi through this trip. I learned that the history of ancient Guangxi was full of smart ideas and happy stories. I had not only "visited" the past, but also understood how Guangxi connected with the world long ago. History isn't just old but part of who we are! 

Visiting museums can be fun but also tiring. You might spend hours traveling, waiting in line, and walking through crowded exhibits. But now, new technologies are making it easier and more enjoyable. 

With the Google Art Project, you can take free online tours of over 500 museums around the world. This beautiful website offers pictures and works of art from the museums, explaining details, along with background information, so you can learn a lot just by looking. 

Some apps can also make your museum trips more interesting. The Palace Museum has designed a few apps. One of them is Han Xizai's Night Feast based on an ancient painting. Users can see a big picture of Han's house and look at the people and their clothes by touching the screen. The Museum of Modern Art in New York City has an app called MOMA, which allows users to draw their own modern art. 

If you still want to visit museums in person, don't worry. Many museums are using 3D technology which allows you to "communicate" with their exhibits! For example, an exhibition in Shenzhen is well-known for a 3D copy of ancient Chinese bronze chimes. Visitors can "play" the chimes by touching them, which helps them understand the exhibits better. 

With these new technologies, visiting museums has become easier and more fun. 

How do young people in South Korea (韩国) spend their weekends? If you ask them this question these days, they may tell you that they take a flight to Shanghai. 

Many young South Koreans are sharing their trips to Shanghai online.  This way, they can enjoy the weekend without missing any work. 

 That day, China announced that South Korean visitors could travel to China without a visa (签证). Because of this, many young South Koreans have started planning trips to China. 

 One main reason is that it only takes about two hours to fly from Seoul (首尔) to Shanghai. And round-trip (往返的) tickets are not very expensive —usually under 2, 000 yuan. What's more, Shanghai is one of the world's most modern cities.  All of these make Shanghai a good place for them. 

They spend their weekends exploring (探索) the city.  And they visit interesting places here, such as the Bund, Xintiandi and Tianzifang. 

Today I went on the Internet and took an online tour of Zhalong. It took me a long time, but I explored nature with e . The tour started with an i to Zhalong's wetlands. 

Zhalong Nature Reserve is in Heilongjiang in north-east China. Without d , it is one of the wetlands of international importance. Every year, v from China and other countries go to Zhalong to study the lives of the birds and insects there. They even wonder w they can experience it in person one day. 

The wetlands are important home to birds and insects. Many birds live in Zhalong Nature Reserve all year round and some fly there for a short stay. They can find water to drink and food to eat and scientists can observe them c to learn their habits. 

On my tour, I s a lot of birds and insects. More than 200 kinds of birds stay in Zhalong in winter, including red-crowned cranes. There are also more than 270 kinds of insects in Zhalong. I was t amazed by how rich its ecosystem(生态系统) is. 

Zhalong needs more people to work there. It is a good place to learn about different kinds of birds and insects, and more about their lives. From this tour, I have l about the importance of wildlife protection. I should try to pwildlife and the wetlands. 

An online tour programme named Tang Meta is popular. It was developed by Grand Tang Mall (大唐不夜城), a famous scenic spot in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. It shows the beauty of Chang'an, the capital of the Tang Dynasty, in 3-D scenes. 

The mall developed Tang Meta to provide an immersive (沉浸式的) experience for visitors to enjoy the history and culture of the Tang Dynasty. It restored (复原) the East Market of Chang'an online. To add something modern to the traditional market, Tang Meta showed products and logos of famous companies at home and abroad along the streets. "It is amazing when the traditional culture and the modern products are put together," said a visitor. 

Tang Meta is open to all. It means you can visit the digital Chang'an at any time alone or with your friends. It also means that you can open a shop, start a garden or even build a city out of your imagination. In the daytime, you may enjoy fishing and the sport of cuju. At night, you may enjoy the show of lanterns or fireworks with hundreds of friends online. It is truly your life of the Tang style. 

Now the mall is restoring other key parts of Chang'an in Tang Meta. In the future, the programme will attract more visitors all over the world and play its role in spreading Chinese culture.
