Her hard work paid off. Hou started to work in a troupe (剧团) in Yinchuan at the age of 16. But in 1993, pop and western music bit Qinqiang Opera hard. The troupe had to close and Hou left the opera stage.
In the past few years, however, China has worked hard to build up its traditional culture. Hou went back to the stage in 2000. She felt happier than ever before.
Now, Hou's team gives hundreds of Qinqiang Opera performances every year in Ningxia. The average (平均的) age of Hou's opera team is 30.

There are a lot of websites offering advice about the best ways to learn languages. However, language learning is something that will take you a lifetime. It's impossible to learn a language in only a few weeks.

Lian Po and Lin Xiangru were two important people in the State of Zhao. Lian was a brave general and Lin was an excellent advisor.
