For many people (not just in China), the answer is just watching short videos and checking out new memes. Instead of helping us relax. this low-value content messes up our thinking. The Oxford Word of the Year." brain rot(脑腐)", best describes this global headache
Watching these types of short videos and memes is like eating your favourite snacks. It's also an easy way to kill time-why plan an outing or take up a new hobby since you can have "fun" without getting up from your sofa?
