Galileo, the Italian astronomer, noticed the mountains and lands on the Moon with a telescope(望远镜). In 1969, the US Apollo 11 project marked the first time that humans set foot on the satellite. Recently, China' s Chang'e 6 brought back the rocks and soil from the far side of the Moon for the first time in history. You may wonder: what is the value of exploring the Moon?
Many scientists believe that the Moon was made of the rocks and dust from the baby Earth. When the solar system(系统) just formed. a Mars-sized object crashed into the Earth. The force of the crash was so great that it sent materials from the Earth, and from the object that hit it, back into the space. Some of the rocks and dust stuck together and created the Moon.
Those materials on the Moon's surface(表面) have stayed unchanged for over three billion(十亿) years, since it does not have an Earth-like atmosphere. This simple fact makes our Moon a time capsule, which allows scientists to uncover the Earth's past.
It is also about our future. In the last two decades, water was discovered on the Moon. It may help future humans look for drinkable water, breathable air, and rocket fuel outside the Earth. Besides, the Moon is a proper place to test technologies required for deep space exploration, including sending humans to Mars.

It was a text from an unfamiliar number, showing a photo of a smiling man in his 30s. "What a strange picture to receive!" I thought to myself.
For the past three years, I have been getting texts meant for this man, Jared. When the second text came, I was a playful sixth grader.
"My Mom just told me that the Football Club will host a free barbeque dinner on Saturday! Hope you all will enjoy it, " it said.
"YUMMMY!" I carefully responded.
The story of Jared became deeper. I learned that he was part of the" Bowery Mission, " which sounded like a gaming group. Looking it up, I realized it was an organization that helped poor families. This was around the same time I stopped volunteering in my community. I spent more time taking art classes and trying different sports. I then joined the group texts. When a message came about donating food, I texted back, "Count me in!"
However, I started to feel bad about this lie. A man sent a long message, talking about the hopeless moments in his life. As I imagined what a good friend Jared could be, I felt ashamed that I was unable to provide the support this man needed and realized that I was not even a good listener to my own friends.
Throughout this time, I noticed how much Jared's life has changed and I have also been discovering who I am. Learning from Jared, I have grown out of the naughty self, made more efforts tor my community, and become a more understanding friend. Last month, I received another text. F. They can bring you little bits of joy during an awful day.
There are some days that start off badly, which can be a rush morning, a stranger being rude, or some bad news. Here are a few tips that may help.
Switch things up
A quick way to rescue your day is to try a"sensory (感官的) change. " Take a hot shower, buy some flowers, or get up and move. When you are stuck in your emotions, a little activity and a change of location can help unlock them.
See it from a different point of view
Ask yourself: Is this really about me, or is it about them? What is the story I created based on the thing that happened? Looking at the matter in a different way can help calm down your feelings.
Give yourself little rewards(奖励)
If you are really having a bad day, little rewards like some ice cream or taking a short break can make it less stressful than a large reward later would.
I was once advised by a friend of mine that I should make an"album for happiness" to improve a bad mood on a certain day. Another friend also recommended me to collect positive messages and emails and pull them out when I feel low. Remember to get prepared.
