Nowadays more and more young people take up a new hobby like collecting stamps to record their travels.  They imprint (压印) the stamps,  (usual) with pictures and names of the places, on postcards or in travel notebooks. 

 29-year-old woman started stamp collecting three years ago.  She found it to be a  (good) way to record her travels than buying local gifts.  So she  (carry) a special notebook for collecting stamps while travelling.  Once she spent two hours waiting  a special stamp.  Now she has filled six  (notebook) with stamps. 

"Stamp collecting has added more fun to  (I) travels.  Looking through those notebooks feels a little like looking at photos.  I can recall what delicious food I  (have) and what fun experiences I enjoyed," she said. 

At the time of social media, tourists are  (excite) to share their collecting ideas with others online.  This makes offline visits and online communication the useful ways  (spread) culture. 

My name is Lily.  I like collecting stamps very much. 

At the age of five, I started to collect stamps.  My uncle, John, gave me a nice stamp and showed his stamp album to me.  The stamps in his stamp album were so beautiful that I was deeply attracted.  I became interested in stamps from that day on.  I put my first stamp in my notebook.  Later, I bought a stamp album and started collecting stamps by category (类别). 

My family helped to buy stamps for me.  After my friends and classmates knew my hobby, they started to help me collect stamps.  Sometimes I traded with them, too.  Gradually, I collected over one thousand stamps from different countries around the world when I was ten. 

I gain knowledge (获得知识) by collecting stamps.  I learn about the history, geography and customs of the world.  It also cultivates (培养) my sentiment (情操).  I often enjoy them in my spare time.  My friends and classmates all like them, too. 

Many people like collecting things.  For some people, they don't throw away the unwanted things because they believe they may be useful one day.  For others, especially old people, old things keep memories of the past and old friends.  They carry a special meaning.  Collecting things can easily become a hobby.  When people really put heart into it, the hobby can do them much good. 

Collecting makes people happy during their free time.  Collectors do not have to go outside for fun.  They keep collections at home: stamps, books, pictures, model cars, toy animals, etc.  It is always enjoyable to look at the collections. 

Collecting keeps people busy, too.  When there is a new piece of collection, they need to find the right place for it.  Sometimes this new piece pushes them to read.  In this way, collectors learn new things from the hobby. 

Collecting also gives people a reason to make new friends.  Collectors may want to meet other collectors to show new findings, to share stories, and to get advice.  So the hobby leads to travel.  Collectors take trips to meet new friends.  Their group of friends grows.  After years of sharing, collectors may become closer friends. 

Collecting things helps people make good use of their free time.  It brings collectors a busy but happy life. 

Have you ever wanted to stop eating something sweet but you couldn't? Is it the first thing that you look for cookies when you arrive home from school? Can you eat a box of chocolates all by yourself? Can you say "no" to sweets at parties? If you can't, then there is a reason.  That is perhaps you're a sugar addict (对……着迷的人).  Does that sound funny? Well, doctors say that people who often eat sweets can easily become addicted to sugar.  What's more, most sugar addicts don't even know that they're addicted!

Sugar addiction is serious, because it can really damage your health and even cause death.  Doctors say that we should eat healthy food, such as fruit and vegetables, and we shouldn't eat a lot of sugar or fast food.  But sugar addicts are difficult to follow this advice.  Well, here is some useful advice:

·Eat some fresh fruit when you really want something sweet to eat. 

·Cut down on sweet food slowly.  Don't try to stop eating it all at once. 

·You have to tell your parents.  If they know, they will help you. 

I never thought about being a collector.  But a few years ago all my friends had the hobby of 1 something.  Some of them collected stones.  Some collected dolls.  Others collected postcards.  I thought I should collect something too.  I wanted to collect something 2 because I didn't want to follow others.  3 , I decided to collect glasses from different places.  When I went to a new place, I 4 one there.  I thought this would make me think of all the places I visited. 

Soon all my friends heard of my hobby and 5 buying me glasses from all the places they visited.  Therefore, my 6 grew bigger and bigger.  I didn't have enough 7 for them.  It was 8 as I didn't even want glasses from places I had not visited.  Finally I 9 them all to my friend Jenny.  She was just starting a 10 collection.

Wendy is a junior high school student.  She is a happy girl and she has 1 friends.  She is also the best friend of 2 .  All her friends like collecting things.  For example, Julie likes collecting coins and Michelle likes collecting dolls.  However, Wendy doesn't collect anything because her room isn't 3 enough. 

One day, Wendy asked her grandma, "Grandma, do you collect anything?"
