There was once a young mouse that lived in a hole（洞）in a wall. He thought he was a smart and careful animal. 

One day, the young mouse woke up（唤醒）from his sleep and looked out of the hole. As he looked out, a nice 1 came to him. " Cheese" the mouse said happily to himself, "I'll go and 2 it now and have it for breakfast."

Here is some "breaking" news: the International Olympic Committee（IOC）has added（增加）breaking（霹雳舞）to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games! 

Breaking might be one of the very unusual sports to be added to the Games, as it's often seen as more of an art than a sport. 

The dance style first appeared（出现）on the streets of New York in the1970s. Performers dance to hip-hop music while using different movements. In the1980s, breaking swept around the world when it was adopted by pop stars such as Michael Jackson. Jackson's moonwalk became popular among teenagers worldwide. 

Why did the IOC choose breaking? Over the past few years, the Olympics has become less interesting to young people. The IOC is trying to make the Games more "youthful", with sports that young people actually do in their spare time. "We want to take sports to the youth," said IOC President. 

To be added to the Olympics, a sport must be widely practiced by men in at least 75 countries and by women in no fewer than 40 countries. Breaking certainly meets this standard（标准）, according to The Sydney Morning Herald. It is also competitive（有竞争力的）and requires strict training just like other sports. Dancers need to have the strong upper body and core（核心）strength. 

"I train at least 10 hours a week, and I've been training since I was a young kid," top Australian break dancer Lowe said. 

"It's great that it gives us more recognition（认可）as a sport," said British break dancer Karam. "Now, the efforts of break dancers are gradually accepted and even admired by a growing number of people. And for the Olympics, it will attract young people who may not follow some of the traditional sports."

Kathy could still remember the night she had to leave her home in Hungary. It was the beginning of World War（战争）II and her family had to leave their country as soon as possible. She quickly filled（充满）a bag with a few pieces of clothing, her diary, and her treasure（珍宝）—a beautiful silk scarf. 

Kathy and her best friend, Monica, had asked their parents to buy them matching scarves. They each would wear the scarves as a symbol（象征）of their friendship. Kathy had no idea that she was going to America that night and would not be returning. 

Kathy kept that special silk scarf for many years. One day she decided to give it to her granddaughter, Eliza, to wear to her first job interview（面试）for good luck. And with the scarf, Eliza kissed her grandmother and left for the interview. 

That afternoon Eliza left the interview, feeling sure that she had got the job. So she decided to celebrate by going to a restaurant. As she was sitting at her table, she felt someone looking at her. Sitting next to her was an old woman, who could not take her eyes away from her. 

"I'm sorry, do I know you?" Eliza asked. 

"I`m sorry, dear, but you make me think of someone I once knew," the old woman replied. "My best friend looked like you and used to wear a scarf just like the one you're wearing around your neck. Eliza listened carefully, with her eyes and mouth wide open. She had heard stories of her grandmother's best friend and knew the meaning of the scarf. 

"My name's Monica, dear. I lived in Hungary as a child, but my family had to leave when I was fourteen years old. I've been living here in California from then on." said the old woman.

How to Find Yourself

Do you often feel lost? If yes, look for ways to find yourself by going through the following tips. 

The first thing to do is to have a rest from everything. Give time to yourself to think why you seem lost. Is it because of overwork? Is it because you are not living a life that you want? Or is it because you are not happy with the people or things around you? 

Look within and find yourself in you instead of（代替）being the way others want you to be. Think about the things that you would want to do, the places that you would like to visit and the way of life that you would like to follow. Then think how you would want others to describe you. l

Thinking about the past, the time or situations（处境）when you were the happiest, is another way to find yourself. This will help you be sure of what you want to do in life. 

Knowing yourself and deciding what to do with your life will not come to you in a day or two. Tt can take months or sometimes even years to truly find yourself. So, it's important that you have a writing habit of all your feelings and thoughts. 

Once you have known what you want to do with your life, make a move for a change. Even if it means taking up small things such as dancing or painting, go ahead and do it. If you want a job change, plan and take action so that it can take place successfully. 

I'm a middle school student. In the past. I was （害羞的）, so I had few friends. To make some changes, I decided to join the school sailing team. When I first got on the sailboat, I thought it was （令人愉快的）. But it was difficult to steer the boat, （尤其）for me. I felt really afraid. The boat kept shaking left and right. It didn't move forward. At that time I  （理解）that many things were not as easy as I thought. 

In the beginning, I really wanted to give up. Mr Li was my （教练）. He taught well but I still often made  （错误）. That made me sad. Luckily, my mother always encouraged me. She would always （建议）me to listen to Mr Li more carefully and try to remember the  （句子）she said, "All things are difficult before they are easy!"

Then I kept training. Day by day, I could do better. Mr Li was （满意的）with my improvement. At the same time, training in the team gave me the  （机会）to make friends with the teammates. I'm so glad that I joined the sailing team. 

This summer my family went on a trip to Stockholm. 

Before the trip, we booked  hotel room in the city centre. When we arrived in Stockholm, we  （take）a bus to the hotel. Then we went out for dinner. We saw trees and flowers everywhere on the way to the restaurant. We felt like we were in a big forest.  a lovely city! 

The next day we visited the Vasa Museum. It's home to an old ship—the Vasa. Nothing was  （exciting）than it for my son, because visiting museums is （he）favourite. There were many visitors in front of the museum. We waited  a long time and felt a little tired. But  we went into the museum, we were all surprised. The ship looked very cool and beautiful. Then we took quite a few photos. 

The third day we went to a park in Stockholm. Lots of people were in the park. My son played with some  （child）there. I talked with their parents. My husband watched a chess game. I thought it was the best way （feel）Stockholm! 

It was a really （relax）trip. We all had a good time.
