People have4 reasons(原因) for changing their names. Film stars, singers, sportsmen 5 change their names. They hope that their names are6 or have special(特殊的) sounds. They also choose the "new name" for7 luck.

Some people have another reason for changing their names. They have moved(搬迁) to a new country(国家) and want8 a name that is usual there. For example, Rasheed Shyyab9 Turkey(土耳其) changed his name to Ran Shide when he moved to China. He used Ran at his job and at school. For some people, using different names 10 life easier in their new countries.

Our Art teacher is not young. He has black hair, two big black eyes, a small nose and a big mouth. Look, he is wearing a white jacket, a blue hat, brown trousers and a pair of old shoes. He's very funny and nice. We all like him.

21st September

I have many friends. Are they my pets (宠物)? No. Are they my classmates? No. Let me tell you. They are my favourite books. I like reading science books and physics books. They help me know how to be a clever boy. I have much fun when I read them.

 Hello,my name is Lily. I will tell you about my best friend. Her name is Trudy. Trudy has long,dark brown hair and green eyes. She is the same age as me, but a little taller. She is always happy.

We sit together in class,and help each other with our schoolwork. We always go home together after school and we play computer games at the weekend. Trudy thinks very quickly （快地）and usually wins （赢）.

Trudy is learning to play the piano. I am learning to play the flute（笛子）. We practise together every day.

Sometimes Trudy stays in my house for a night, or I stay in her house. We always have a good time.

My name is Tom. Of all the animals, I love rabbits best.

 I have a pet (宠物) rabbit named Luna. All my family members love her. Luna is a white rabbit with blue eyes and a pink nose. She has light brown patches (斑块) on her ears.  Even (甚至) when we speak far away, she hears us very well. We feed her fresh vegetable leaves. And cabbage leaves are her favorite.

Luna likes to play with me. When she sees me, she gets very happy and runs around me. Sometimes, I take her to the nearby park. She runs happily on the grass and among the flowers. 

Luna is very smart and energetic I have never felt lonely (孤独) with her around.  We will have many more happy times together!
