When the days grew long in the middle of summer, Lisa liked to go to the park and watch clouds.

There are about 5, 000 different kinds of ladybugs（瓢虫）in the world． They come in many different colors. Their bright colors warn other animals or insects not to eat them. 

Ladybugs taste bad. A bird or a frog that eats a ladybug will remember the bright colors and it will not eat another ladybug with the same colors again. When ladybugs are in danger, they will give out a fluid（液体） that tastes terrible.

A group of frogs were traveling through the woods. And two of them fell into a deep hole. When the other frogs saw how deep the hole was, they told the two frogs that they were hopeless to live. The two frogs didn't listen and tried to jump out of the hole. The other frogs kept telling them to stop. Finally, one of the frogs heard what the other frogs were saying and gave up, so he died. 

The other frog went on jumping as hard as he could. Once again, the other frogs cried at him and told him to stop and just allow himselfto die. Hejumped even harder and finally

made himselfout. When he got out, the other frogs said, "Didn't you hear us?" The frog explained to them that something was wrong with his hearing. He thought they were encouraging（鼓励）him the whole time. 

There is power of life and death in the tongue（舌头）. An encouraging word to

someone who is down can cheer him or her up and help them make it through the difficulties. 

While a negative（负面的） word to someone who is down can make him give up and die. 

So be careful of what you say. 

The number of people living in the rainforest is rising, but the rainforest itselfis becoming smaller!

During the 20th century, huge areas of rainforests were cut down. More and more people in Brazil and Indonesia moved into rainforest areas to find land for living. Local farmers cut down trees to grow crops. Large companies（公司）have also moved into the rainforests to develop their factories. 

The problem is that the area of the rainforest is becoming smaller and smaller. Scientists say that destroying（破坏）the rainforest is the earth and should be stopped. But why？

Rainforest plants help to clean the air. What's more, different parts ofrainforest plants can be used to produce useful medicines and maybe the key to solving serious health problems. 

So how can we solve the problem? Governments can make some rules to protect their forests. Companies can createjobs elsewhere, so that fewer people have to live and work in the rainforests. Farmers are encouraged to plant crops in certain areas, and this helps to stop the soil from being washed away and produces better crops. 

More than half of the plants and animals that live in the rainforest can't be found anywhere else in the world. It is important to make sure that these forests are used well and protected by people. 

Playground Safety Rules

Playgrounds are great places to have fun. But you need to have fun without getting hurt. 

*Getting ready to play

Wear shoes to keep your feet safe. 

  Wet equipment can be slippery and might lead to a fall. 

Don't play on broken equipment. Tell an adult ifany playground equipment is broken. 

＊Slides（滑梯）

Go down the slide, one person at a time. 

Don't go down the slide until the person in front of you has reached the ground and moved away from the slide. 

Never climb up the front of the slide. 

*Climbing

Climb stairs or steps slowly. Hold onto the handrails. 

*Swinging

Sit down on the swings and slow down before getting off. 

Be careful when you walk in front of a moving swing. You don't want to get hit. 

* If something goes wrong

Remembering the above rules will help keep you safe and prevent accidents.  If there'sa problem or ifsomeone gets hurt in the playground, ask an adult for help at once. 

Travelling is very interesting. Many people love travelling. There are many ways to travel:by plane, by train, by ship or by car. Everyone has their favourite way. 

Einstein is a great  (science). The following is something about him. 

Einstein was born in Germany in 1879. He was the greatest natural scientist in the  (twenty) century. Because ofhis excellent achievements, he won  Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921. 

After his birth, his mother  (feel) her son was a little strange. His head was big. The time he used to learn to speak was  (long) than other children.

Nowadays WeChat（微信）is more and more popular． I often  to my English friends on WeChat. It helps me speak English   than before. And I can read much  on WeChat that can make me know more. Some also makes me   more careful. Sometimes I feel WeChat is like a mirror that helps  see something clearly. , WeChat brings me some trouble as well. Some friends put photos of the real things on WeChat to tell what they sell is really good. I am angry about  advertisements because some of them may be not true. As a saying goes, " is believing． " I know people are cheated（被欺骗）by some news  What's worse, some news always asks us to send it to others. This often makes me , so I am thinking about using WeChat wisely on my phone again.
