A healthy eating habit along with enough exercise can help you keep healthy. When you are young, it is important to give your body what it needs. If you skip meals, you can't get enough calories (卡路里). And then you may feel tired. By the way, the calorie is just another word for energy. About 50% of your calories should come from rice, bread, vegetables and fruit. You also need to drink a lot of water, 6 to 8 glasses a day. Drinking enough water can make your body work better and make you healthy.

Exercise can help to make you look good, feel good and be healthy. Scientists say that kids should spend at least 30 minutes exercising a day, five times a week. Itis easy to do! You can walk or ride your bike to school, and play sports at school. However, kids often give up sports, saying they have no time left after finishing their homework. In fact, doing exercise can help them sleep better and do better in their lessons.

If you follow the advice above, you will look and feel much better and become healthy.

Friends are very important in everyone's life because friends are always there when we need them.It's great to have many friends, and I can't imagine my life without my friends. 

My best friend is Lisa. She is one year older than me. Now she is in the same class with me,in Grade 8. She is tall and quite thin. She has long curly blond hair and blue eyes. I am not so beautiful. Sometimes I wish I could be as beautiful as she is.

My name's Molly. I am tall enough but a little fat. Lisa and I like doing lots of things together and talking about different things. She always helps me with my math and I sometimes help her with her English and history.

Well, a man named Wilson Bentley tried to discover the beauty of snowflakes.

Wilson Bentley was born on a farm in Vermont, the US. When he was 15 years old, his mom gave him a microscope（显微镜）as a birthday present, which changed his life.

Bentley liked to look at snowflakes with the microscope. He said snowflakes were more beautiful than he had imagined. Bentley really wanted everyone to enjoy the beauty of snowflakes. He tried to paint them, but they always melted before he could finish.

When Bentley was 17 years old, his parents spent most of their money and bought him a camera with its own microscope. Although he had it, he failed to take a photo of a snowflake. However, he didn't give up. Time and again, Bentley didn't take much notice of the cold and worked through every snowstorm. The winter was over, the snow melted, and he had no good pictures.

Finally, when he was 19, he succeeded! Bentley discovered how to photograph snowflakes! "Now everyone can see the beauty of snowflakes." he thought.

Bentley made a lot of copies of the photo of the snowflake for more people to see. He also wrote an article and gave speeches about snow.

Finally, Wilson Bentley became known as a world-famous expert on snow.

Bentley believed that there were treasures in snow. "I can't miss a snowstorm." he said. "I never know when I will find a treasure."

Many middle school students are worried about their looks. Zeng, a student from Chengdu said, "Almost all the girls in my class with single-fold eyelids（单眼皮） made operations（手术）." She also did it because she thought bigger eyes looked more beautiful. 

First of all, as the old saying goes, "Everyone has a heart for beauty. "  By ways of science, they can turn their looks more easily.

  Seeing all these things can make someone think that they are too dark, too fat, too short or too tall. As a result, most of them decide to have operations. Then they feel more confident（自信的）about their looks.

In fact, look is not the only thing in our life.  If so, they will find their inner（内在的）beauty, and they won't care about how they look all the time.
